Some just love these extra features. As a human being, I can sense rain drop on the windscreen. Need auto sense wipers for what?

I had the same thinking as you before I have the car with auto sense wiper.

After use for a few times, I feel this feature is very convenient. Not that it will activate once sense the rain drop. Most importantly it will adjust the speed according to rain flow.

Don't talk cock la.

Drivers can lock the doors themselves, need auto lock for what?

Can brake himself, need collision assist for what?

Can step on accelerator himself, need cruise control for what?

Can wind down windows himself, need auto windows for what?

Can adjust seat himself, need electrical adjustment for what?

And so on and so on.

If the features are there, just use it. If not there, so be it.

I'm just getting sick of your posts everywhere on the forum. No real value add, no personal experience, giving snide remarks or just plain motherhood statements.

Will be putting you on my ignore list.

I am really need rain sensing wiper. It is very useful for me.

It will adjust the speed according to the rain.

Paddle shifter is useful when you feel tired in driving.

You can downshift to hear louder engine sound and make you awake.

Hahaha...

Rain sensor is pretty annoying for me. I mean, when you want them to be faster, they don't swipe. When you dun want them to swipe, they swipe.

The old school's adjustable viable speed is still the most practival.

I find my fxt auto headlamp and auto wipers a tad too sensitive, compared to my previous car. Gonna see if MI can tweak this or diy via the user manual hopefully. Few drops of rain on windscreen, the wipers activates. Go under overbridge for a few secs and the auto headlamps on and off. Haha. Zzzz

You reminded me of Robert William Kearns who invented the intermittent wiper and sued the big boys and won....

The wiper is too sensitive. Sometime it will be activated without rain. Quite scary especially during ghost month.

Hahaha...

Normally, I set to OFF. Set to ON when it rains.

Traditional variable speed is annoying for me sometime.

When I adjust to fastest speed, the rain turn small.

When I adjust to slowest speed, the rain becomes heavy.

Anyone notice that the coolant level drops below the low level? Read that this is a problem with the new Subaru Super Coolant which evaporates at a higher rate under humid condition.

For me i also switch off the auto wipers, turn on during raining day only. The reason is I have experienced once "funny" :a-fun:  thing at petrol kiosk after the next day car collection. Requested the uncle to help me clean the windscreen during my first pump, when the uncle spray the water on my windscreen and attempt to clean it, then the auto wipers suddenly work and scare the uncle and myself... [smash] [smash]  The best thing is i dunno how to turn it off the auto wipers.. lol.. :a-SOS:

For the auto headlights, reference to the Forester owner's manual, we can adjust the sensitivity level "NOTE The sensitivity of the auto on/off headlights can be changed by a SUBARU dealer. Consult your SUBARU dealer for details. Also, for models with a multi function display, the setting can be changed using the display. For details, refer to “Auto light sensor sensitivity setting” F3-85."

Good one! :a-good:

This is one of the reason why I have chosen FNA not Mazda 5 while their price about the same. Prefer and more comfortable to have some in built features or add on which is not new technology but it shld look modern not old schools type! Whether you will use it or not that is another story, but I am quite sure, i have used all...... [laugh] no regret!
