Yeah essentially it's really down to old but big or new but smaller.

Technology wise I'm still ok with what the current forester has. More concerned with how much better the fc, stability, cabin noise will be with the new sgp.

Price wise 101,800 is all in with loan and trade in my current car with them.

Subaru didn't not adjust the price after the last round coe drop. Both forester and xv are still priced at 101,800.

Will be going for test drive to get a better feel.

no offence Richard, just differing opinions here, i had enuf crap of cheap LEDs dying on me last time until i found these trusted ones, so stuck with them. At least Autobacs Japan carry them so should have certain level of reputability.

and foglight is not DIY friendly even for SUV, that's why i am still sitting on the fence on my current ride cos don't wanna waste time keep replacing...

Hi Sarion,

Tks and none taken now ..

Yes, such aftermkt led or hid including philips hid, led and halogen all dies and dependent on usage and each car's electrical system.

Stock is best and going into aftetmkt means quite certain needed spares which I do get for both my forester and qashqai.

Cheers.

Richard

Jthi,

12.9v

390cca

Seems like the battery is healthy, If you look at the label on the battery it read 390CCA. How old is your ride?

My car is now 1year 4 mths just did my 20K servicing, the battery check is 329CCA, MI said it's a nit weak advice me to replace (S$190). but I think I will do it outside ( I had post a thread for advice what battery to change 2 weeks ago ).

The battery came with the car is wet cell battery, dunno should I change to a Maintenance free battery like Borch Amaron etc.?

Actually I went to check w my regular shop this morning.

The reading is 303cca over the battery 390 CCA . Therefore it is considered weak.

Change to a battery with 550 CCA .

Cheaper than what MI quote me.

To some, old is gold (like what some said about the merits of facelifted models). Some go for all new tech n gadgets. Of course, there are also practical factors like power to weight, size/space, creature comfort etc to consider. In general, Fna is already pretty well appointed by subaru standard (e.g big sunroof, electric front seats). As for whether sgp makes much diff in terms of fc, stability and nvh, i reckon not much is known as yet and there is also not much online discussion it seem. Sgp is touted as the future of subaru, so surely it has its merits and xv has that (and eyesight).

Hv fun test driving. At 101k, both fna and xv eyesight offer pretty gd value. Its down to what is really impt to u.

Was just day dreaming the other day: if fna is now offered with eyesight n sgp but priced same as fxt without these 2 features. I would know clearly which one to choose :D

HI,

My advise is still remain as wet cell battery as the life span i slong than a maintenance free battery.

I been all the while using it and top-up the battery level when necessary.

It can lasts me easily 2 years.

That's like saying scholars will not make mistakes.

Yeah

That's like we are Japs so our steel is always of high quality and we check our cars properly..

Yes, ultimately it depends on the needs of each individual but great to hear views from different perspectives.

Haha if fna with new tech priced same as fxt without, I know what I will choose too.

Hi Chryze,

Fxt of course .. you cannot mod Fna to Fxt's 350Nm 240bhp but I have thinkware car cam for lower but similar functionalities of line departure and front collision as well as BSM with rear cross alert.

Cheers.

Also I am wondering anyone has poured distilled water ourselves and then checked the battery level?

Yes I do. For the stock battery and the later Yuasa EcoR battery. Just a word of caution to make sure no distilled water overflow.. if it does, rinse with plenty of tap water (after closing the terminals tightly of course). Keep rinsing all around the water to make sure any battery water that make flow down to other components of the car below are rinsed off. Got a friend FXT a number of screws and hose quite badly corroded by battery water.

Hi Chucky,

I still bought older F770 instead of newer F800 since familiar and not sure how F800 is.

About sgd700 for the F770 for most installers.

Cheers.

any place you would recommend? Can a car support 2 seperate set of car cam?

I have an existing IROAD V9 that’s working well, thinking of moving the main cam to the rear, with another new cam (thinkware) main cam filming the front and the 2 small cams taping the sides front, so can cover 270 degrees.

Do you think it’s viable?

Hey Chucky,

I was doing ICE at Foon and just installed my F770 there. The thinkware distro is ZMC c/o Ashton@88582672 at Serangoon North Ave 4:

https://www.zmc.com.sg

Sure viable on 4 cam system and I had seen 6 cam system but one may think car owner is into loanshark or their victim .. lol ! At any rate, do get 2 addition dvr backup batteries if indeed going for 4 or more cam system which will be another sgd700.

Cheers.

Hey Roger,

Mentioned already that ZMC is local distro but accessories shops e.g. Foon Audio, DimensionAudio, ChuanSeng, xTreme Audio, Audio Solutions etc. other than grey market still provides same back to back warranty from main distro .. same for all other accessories including iRoad, Blackvue, Alpine, Pioneer, Groundzero, Focal Steg, Microprecision, Tchernov etc.

Cheers.
