For XT, possible to achieve 10km/l.

I am getting 9.2l/100km on the meter on my first tank of petril.

what is the true fuel consumption for this car?

Bro, how you did it? I only many to have 11/12 L/100KM, I still haven't rev the car because it still less than 1000KM. I always drive with I mode and 50/50 HW/city.

But I enjoy the ride very much :)

Think it depends on driving pattern and traffic conditions.

I'm getting 9.8 l/100km about 75% highway. But I don't think that fc will last long...

I guess it is my driving pattern and route.

I am usually quite light footer, 10 ~ 20% acceleration. I think I am on a 60/40 HW/City route. Mine is still on the 1st 1000km also.

I never believe on over light foot to get good FC. Because your car will always stay in lower gear for longer time which is not good for FC.

I believe in accelerate moderately. Get into the engine and GB sweet spot. By reaching the cruising speed fast, which always give the best FC.

You can switch to the onboard instantaneous FC meter allow you to get the most optimal driving style. It also show the throttle % so you can adjust accordingly.

This car is like a nagging wife. One minute the throttle begs you to press more to enjoy the power, next the nagging FC display keep reminding you that you are wasting fuel.

LOL

I have come to accept that we can't expect too much for FC from this car.

Btw has anybody here changed the rims yet? Or installed any body kit?

I did some matt black for al the chrome parts and the addiction is beginning...

Hi all Forester owners and owners to be,

Not here to dampen your mood on modifications. Do read up on the other thread:

http://www.mycarforum.com/topic/2700072-mte-garage-bartley-biz-personal-experience/

The risk of back firing and loss of warranty with money spent is always there, in exchange of gaining more hp/torque.

If want to mod, perhaps getting a preowned car to experiment will be a better choice ?

Cheers.

Japanese cars should not have so many causes of CELs in the first place :P

It is always wise to research more before modding. Isn't that what the forums are for? In any case, dyno results can be deceiving and do not expect a modded horse to run as well as a stock horse.
