My FNA, now abt 11.5k Km travelled. best 12.2km/l, worst 10.5km/l

Looks slightly above average (good).  You must be travelling mostly highway or light traffic?

Got a bloody tire punctured by a 5cm long nail... it's almost impossible to replace the tire with same specs. End up either got to fit 4 new 235/50/18 or 235/55/18. Else got to replace the rims...

end up with Michelin primacy 3 235/50/18. Great tires, noticeablely quieter and more comfortable than the stock Bridgestone deuler Hp.... dry grip seems comparable. Wet grip yet to be properly tested.

To pull a 1.7 ton giant, good enough.

Fna should be 1.5x ton as indicated by car registration papers from LTA. Fxt is listed at 1.67ton in my car registration papers. After add 4door soundproof and undercarriage anti rust, total weight is about 1.71ton...

I changed to this tyre immediately after I collected by FXT.

Yay. They are really good. Michelin makes good tires. Luckily I still managed to get $80 from my 4 deuler as trade in price. They were only 13k km old, can still see a lot of thread left. Pretty new quite sayang.

So u should thank whoever u offended by your smoking them off at each traffic light for throwing the 5cm nail at u.

Just kidding! :p

Now u have one more reason to enjoy your ride... :)

Why after CNY and not before?

Wont that affect your speedometer reading as the tyre diameter is reduced. Doing the maths:

Original Bridgestone Dueller tyres side wall is 55% × 225 = 122.75mm

Michellin tyres is 50% × 235 = 117.5mm [smaller]

Also why cannot find...225 55R18 tyres are non standard?

If you get an outside workshop to upgrade your car to an aftermarket exhaust (regardless of whether legal or not) at any time (during your 3 free servicings or afterwards), MI will void your exhaust warranty at the very least. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to void your engine warranty too, since that's been their stance on aftermarket air filters. I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

Bro, warranty for engine is void for aftermarket air filters, even those drop in type? That is Super niow. I always see K&N drop in filters box states will not void warranty,

Looks like mine just got voided, Damnnnnn.

U can always put back the original filter before u send yr car in for any svcing or repairs....

Very slightly... usually acceptable... i think speedo will show that u are travelling faster than actual.... Edited by C90

Ya the stock tires are non standard size... u can't get them From any shop unless special order or go back to MI.

And I don't think I wanna replace back the stock brisgetones, they are ok tires but not great ones. And they are bloody expensive.... the michelins are excellent!

235/50/18 is the next correct fit but will have slight variance of about 1.4%. Tolerance is up to +- 3% according to some online tire calculator guide.

Lol. Nah I haven been smoking anyone lately. In fact, I've been doing lotsa hw driving these days. About 80% hw. The fc on my fxt is excellent. It's simply amazing! At first I was a bit concern when I changed to motul 300v engine oil at my 10k servicing since its race oil and fc might take a hit. Haa now I'm enjoying every moment driving my fxt with my brand new michelins. :)

Oh ya, I dun drive like a granny btw. I wack lane 1 as soon as I got the chance. I always try to hit max cruising speed on hw.

Ok. Michelin primacy 3 235/50/18 made in eu. Yom 2016.

$270 per tire including installation.

I got $20 trade in for my each of my Bridgestone.

So in total I paid 1k for the 4 new michelins.

Btw, these are regular passenger tires. They are in the premium touring range of tires. The stock Bridgestone are all rounder SUV tires. Normally touring tires have better performance on tarmac and they are quieter and more comfortable.

Initially wanted to get Michelin latitude sport 3 as they are SUV uhp tires but no stock for our odd size rims... and those aren't cheap too.. also a bit noisier.

I also check out continental contisportcontact 5 SUV which comes at $220 each. Yup mich cheaper than michelins but my past experience tells me they dun last long. Performance tend to dip after 20k km or so and bad wear rate.

Korean makes are even cheaper At below $$200!! But I prefer to stick to more reputable brands.

i just changed to Michelin latitude sport 3, 235/55/18 at $250 each.

was using continental contisportcontact 5 SUV for about 20k km, when it became loud and having this humming sound, decided to change it out. when comparing the 2 tires feel that Michelin is the better tire.

Turbocharged

I'm also riding Primacy 3 tyres, I think they're pretty decent in the grip department, but they're comfortable as well. Though I'm looking for a better tyre for the future.
