Keep with the Primacy 4.

And why bother to change at Motor Image.

Went back for servicing today.  They advise to change tyre and offer Yokohama.  Didn't plan to change there.  Will source for lower price outside.  My last change I did at JB.

I had the exact problem, bought the bracket at stockist at only $10. The bracket seems to be a common "wear" item according to the ws.

There was a recall yrs ago which I had also experienced with rattling sound from front left bottom chassis and MI replaced a bracket foc .. perhaps the same issue. Fyi only and cheers.

Currently using Michelin Primacy 4.  Motor Image suggest to replace the type with Yokohama type, 4 pieces $812 with gst, including 4 wheel alignment.

Any recommendation of tyre for replacement?

For me .. it is Michelin Primacy 3 STs and Primacy 4STs for great 6 yrs so far .. comfy with good enuff safety/performance for non sepang driving. Cheers.

The not honest workshop will change the CAT and also the $40 bracket and then told you.. you see.. I told you CAT is faulty. Noe no more noise.

WS probably give sgd40 bracket for free to avoid being caught cheating out ... enuff meat with new CAT replacement liao 🤣

It is boring me with same old Michelin tyres and BKS ws c/o Ah Keong only ☺

Just spent whole morning vacuuming and plastic conditioning interior of my 6 yrs old 140k km fxt as well as finally washed 3M clone mats for the 2nd or 3rd time since retiring almost 3 yrs ago.

Need to take good care of the only ride now that 5 yrs old mint mazda 6 driven by wife had been just sold at 87k which I paid 118k.

Glad also downsized 235/50/18 Michelin Primacy 4 ST to 225/55/18 non ST one from Spain .. more comfy, about 10% increase to 450km/tank with little to no obvious deterioration on performance due probably to Tein edfc active pro and matching endura dampers.

This bring another story on new discovery of automated mode of default normal#1 vs sporty #2 setting and now lateral as well as longitudinal G forces are at sporty #2 for less floaty ride while keeping speed setting at #1 .. else it adjusts to harder damping too quickly. For example, current damping setting at 8/16 drops to 2/16 at about 80kmhr while normal #1 will be at 4/16. This was after coming across all you need to know about my previous gen of tein edfc active pro here:

Enuff of ranting but had been a while since I posted.🙏🙏

Cheers.

Hello to all Forester owners!

I am looking to purchase a 3 years old used Forester XT with close to 100k mileage. Intended to renew when COE is up. Heard horror stories about cvt transmission nightmare.

Appreciate if there’s advice & tips (any modifications to prolong longevity of the transmission) from fellow owners. Cheers!

Don't think there is a 3 yrs old XT. The last XT sold here should be late 2018 or early 2019.

Unless you not from here.

Nothing that can’t be fixed with money

if so scared then you should just aim for a camry with 6speed auto

If scared, then go for toyota or Honda CVT lor.

Change cvt oil every 40k 🙂
