forestor1973 2nd Gear February 9, 2017 Share February 9, 2017 Did it on my fxt during 1k servicing. U will get 2 pieces of sticker on the rear window and slightly poorer. Offers slightly sound proof against road noise. But after driving so Long, I dunno if there's any diff anymore. MYbe I should try driving another forester without undercarriage protection to compare... hmmm so beside anti-rust it does also offer sound proofing. how long will the installation take plus the 1k servicing cos am doing my 1k servicing this sat? ah so it is like tuff kote. the DUO points looks like it is not gg to be used anyway. Thanks am a car noob. so is both anti-rust and sound proofing purposes. u mean cannot used our DUO point to offset the cost of undercarriage panel protection? jg2000 4th Gear February 9, 2017 Share February 9, 2017 Anyone using Cellink Battery for their incar camera? I tried asking if MI will install third party camera, i was told they will not and in case if there is any failure due to 3rd party camera they could void warranty (and i am sure they could push the blame to camera if there is some issue with electronics). Any bro using POWER Magic pro with BlackVue 5 series 2channel (Free) camera, is there any issue with battery so far? i am thinking to use Cellink Battery rather , it will cut the camera from main battery and i don't need to install POWER magic pro. Thanks in advance. Won't void warranty if your outside-installed camera or its battery is powered from the 12V power socket (e.g. the one in the centre console). That is what I did. It is treated as any electical accessory that as long as within the voltage and power rating of the socket is acceptable. Also, no worry that it will drain the car battery when car is parked as 12v socket is cut-off once car is shut down.
Cboonh 2nd Gear February 9, 2017 Share February 9, 2017 ah so it is like tuff kote. the DUO points looks like it is not gg to be used anyway. Thanks Duo points can be exchange for "Service vouchers", that can be used for things that are in the servicing catalogue (e.g. "tuff kote", polishing, engline flush etc), or those that are in the MI parts catalogue (e.g. sti radiator cap, boot tray, etc etc). There are also SONAX detailing products that can be exchanged using the points. Different denominations of vouchers available. Some comes with minimum spending required, some have no minimum. Depending on how much you intend to spend, you can strategise. Personally i think using it on those may be a better choice than the anti rust coating. I didn't buy the sales pitch that the SA made. Think he claim that stock car from factory is not protected and body will rust etc etc... I called bullcrap. hahahha Anyway, I spent a good amount of duo points on goodridge SSBH during the 5k servicing~ :)

jg2000 4th Gear February 9, 2017 Share February 9, 2017 I intend to get iroad v9. So MI will not help to install? If install by 3rd party, warranty will be void? Not void if you plug to 12v socket (say, in the centre console) for power. If you want to continue recording when car is off, then you will need also iRoad Power Pack to be connected to the 12v socket and then the iRoad connect to its battery pack. There are different Power Pack to last different times for recording while parking.
commonjunks Supercharged February 9, 2017 Share February 9, 2017 I intend to get iroad v9. So MI will not help to install? If install by 3rd party, warranty will be void? MI will not install any third party camera (as they said they never tested it with Subaru, and i am sure they will never test anything beside BlackVue). About warranty, they said i can go ahead and have it installed from 3rd party. But (a BIG BUT) they would not honor warranty of electronics if they found it damaged due to camera installation (which i think they could say camera was culprit). I got scared because in first week of my driving my car stall after parking, bang my head a few times and hold car power button for 30seconds (seems interface was hanged). For now i am trying to see if i should just go ahead and ask them to install POWER magic pro (which they said they will void Battery warranty, because they stop installing POWER magic pro due to battery draining and car cannot start in morning or after few day of not driving), or get external Battery like Cellink Battery. Nee_savi Neutral Newbie February 9, 2017 Share February 9, 2017 Swee man Low price for such a solid ride.. 104k? Amazing Bro is this XT or 2.0P? And what else you got. I have to book in a day or 2. Mind sharing?
therock Supersonic February 9, 2017 Share February 9, 2017 Bro is this XT or 2.0P? And what else you got. I have to book in a day or 2. Mind sharing? Bro, I suggest you look for the people who bought the car recently. You can't be serious about this being the XT price .. Chat with your rep and see what is the current deal.. things do change and those who booked in December with their COEs coming in Jan - Feb had a very competitive deal. Good luck with your purchase and do read up first on things like service, FC etc etc. It's all here already. Cheers

commonjunks Supercharged February 9, 2017 Share February 9, 2017 (edited) damn...my SE said can previously..told me just have to pay labour charge. so if i buy BlackVue and get them to fix, no issues with warranty?? MI don't install POWER Magic Pro any more, you need to contact Management and they will reply you back. I was also taken a back when i went to ask Service staff to install Power Magic pro and they told me Management instruct them to stop install Power Magic Pro (seems people got their batteries drained beyond the point they cannot start their rides). They will help you to install Power Magic Pro, at expense of your car Battery warranty voided (which means if your battery died while Camera was on, they will charge you for towing service and possible battery change even your battery is 1 week old. Nice way of screwing the customer). Bro is this XT or 2.0P? And what else you got. I have to book in a day or 2. Mind sharing? Maybe FN, cannot be XT. You will get cheapest 2Channel camera (with no recording while parking), a bit salty statement . Edited February 9, 2017 by commonjunks
