Just notice Altis thread the pages only 200++ since 2013 Oct.

While the Forester thread already 460 since 2015.

That show most Altis owner don't surf forum.

Always seemed to me that the Forester crowd are more likely to be more enthusiastic about automobiles in general whereas Altis owners are largely the sort who view the vehicle as, well, a vehicle.

The Altis is an appliance on wheels. There's pretty much nothing to say about such a (boring) product right?

That explains the relative lack of activity there. Hahaha

Hahaha, I like your description, appliance on wheels.

At least Dysons have air multipliers

Altis is like dealing with a Sona fan

Just to update, i check with Subaru Management and i was told they will allow installation of Power Magic Pro but will void Warranty for battery.

I am trying to explore a different camera and asking them to help to install it (looking at Lukas Real Black Box Camera LK-9750 DUO + GPS + Constant Power). This camera have build in cut of option which one can set at 12.3v or whichever voltage one want to set.

Anyone having issue with blind spot? Although side mirrors are big but i still feel there is a blind spot, anyone using any blind spot assist mirrors?

There are replacement/add-on side mirrors that are more convex than the stock mirrors. Those will allow you to see much much more. Relatively inexpensive. :)

I just got my ride last month. Realize the external door handles for the rear doors is quite loose in a way.

Wonder any bro can tell me if we are sharing the same condition.

When I pull the door handle (about a-third or half), I can actually shake the door handle vertically slightly. And this movement is making me feel that it is quite loose. Both side of the door is the same.

Appreciate someone that can check and confirm if we share the same condition or is it only me.

Thanks in advance.

If you install to plug into the cigeratte ligher socket in the center console, MI will NOT void any warranty since it is like any electrical device that you plug in.

I did that - my car camera battery is hidden inside the dashboard and cable laid hidden to the center console where it plugs into the cigeratte power socket there.

The car camera is solely powered by its battery once engine is off, and so will operate for some hours after car has shut down.  But with the hour or so of travelling every day, the battery is the smaller size one that holds charge for about 3 hours.

How large a battery you can use depends on how much travelling you do everyday to charge the battery during those hours when the cigeratte socket is "live" when the car is running.

Once car is off, the socket has no more electricity and the camera battery is not charging anymore and has to supply electicity to the camera on its own).

Was having 2nd tots on leaving my car cam plus power magic on for 24 hours.. nowadays, off most of the time during parking for fear of batt drain

Btw, for the free 10k servicing at mi, does it include tyre balancing plus tyre rotation?

Hi all,

Have read in a US Forester forum that the 2017 Forester has a re-tuned suspension that makes the ride a lot smoother than the 2014 - 2016 versions. I quote "Subaru allegedly stiffened the front crossmember, uses retuned struts, and revised rear control arm bushings on the 2017 models."

Anyone can confirm this, and if true, can we upgrade the suspension setup for pre 2017 models to this setup? (I'm driving a 2016 Forester XT, which I find bounces around a bit too much for my liking)

Maybe should go test drive the current Forester and compare

US 2017 = Asia 2016?

Hi, has anybody done PPS on their new ride? I have been reading on the different types of pps but still undecided on which. Sierra Glow blue flame technology seems interesting but I can't seems to find much review on this. Anybody here has tried and can share their experiences with me? Thanks

Maybe can add either a tower strut or a thicker front anti roll bar, coupled with changing to Cusco Touring A dampers that should improve alot

Lot of Forester owners have done PPS. It has a noticeable effect, may not be as shiny/good looking as pure diligent waxing, but much easier to care for - easier to wash - and provides more protection to the paint itself.

Whether worth or not is up to you.
