Yes it can't be help bec the factory fitted reverse camera is fitted maybe 3-5cm off centre, due to the buttons to open the boot. So it'll never be centralized, only if u replace with another that's right at the centre say at the rear bumper, like some Honda Airwave I've seen.

 

To-day, review through the Monitor LCD again.

Maybe due to the camera mounting off centre and to enable the reverse camera guideline to be a line with the carpark line and vehicle line,

so the reverse camera need to be mounted slant.

Received text from SE that FXT is now $121.8K and Outback is $122.8K.

 

Except for the higher road tax of $500 annually, has any one considering the FXT also looked at Outback?

 

Read reviews that with its longer wheel base, ride is more comfortable. Tempted to consider an Outback as it does have a more "luxurious" interior compared to FXT from the quick look I had previously. Remembered it as slightly lower headroom and with electronic brake.

 

Any feedback from others?

One thing to consider, if the into account of omv, depreciation of outback might be lower than fxt. I am not very sure of both the omv though. Just a thought.

I booked my FXT at 127.8k when coe is 60k, then outback was $134k.

 

This week coe drop by 5k, the FXT is 121.8k.. drop by 6k since.. while Outback drop by 12k. Confirm better deal for outback as interior, sound proofing, sound system is better.. and OMV also 2-3k higher but selling price is just 1k more. FXT has better sunroof.

 

The decision is really boils down to if you prefer a 2L turbo or 2.5NA.. the $500 road tax negligible. Go test drive both and decide which do you prefer.

Thanks for feedback. Indeed the rest test is in the drive and feel of both cars.

If not limiting to SUV and turbo, can also consider Legacy.

So you went against OC and buying FXT instead [;)] ?

 

Think possible reason for low Outback price could also be due to overstock. No good keeping cars too long and MI could be trying to clear ex stocks.

Finally, I have completed 104 pages after a few weeks!

 

Driving a wrx now, waiting for further fall in price for FXT. Although my first choice is still the wrx. Alas if only wrx OMV 24k selling $130k++ now. Rally blue for sure. FXT sure $ for value. Subaru Fan old boy now.
