Tohto Hypersonic November 19, 2015 Share November 19, 2015 At current COE climate, MI so far never fail to bid beyond 3 bids. So no worries.. Yes it's loud, but not exhaust loud, its Abit like the taxi clicking sound from engine bay. I reckon its due to the direct injection, kinda like CRDI diesel engines. Even BMW 4 cylinder engine direct injection also have the same sound. It is normal. At current COE climate, MI so far never fail to bid beyond 3 bids. So no worries.. Axela72 5th Gear November 19, 2015 Share November 19, 2015 (edited) May I know from most of the discussion/review I read from various forum on Forester, they typically based on XT. Does that mean the N.A, forester has no con to brag about against its competitor? Example, if refer to the various owner review from sgcarmart, most are commenting on XT but not the N.A. I can afford to pay for the XT but, can't accept the FC and the extra care need to take care for Turbo engine. Wonder did I made the right choice to get the N.A. instead of XT Edited November 19, 2015 by Axela72

How much more TLC requires for Turbo? I am driving an European turbo car & i only do normal servicing le.

You having car buying withdrawal symtoms or having cold feet after signing on the dotted line? LOL. Sgcarmart have a 2 review articles on the Forester 2.0i-L. Good reviews for the Forester coming from those expert reviewers. Go search the articles as follows: Comparison - Nissan X-Trail 2.0 Premium 7-seater (A) & Subaru Forester 2.0i-L (A) Comparison - Tucson 2.0 (A) & Forester 2.0i-L (A) & RAV4 2.0 Premium (A) Convinced now? If power is not your priority, but more focus on costs; plus have a light-footed driving pattern, then the Premium is a good choice. FC avg 11,6 Km/L based on actual usage... I took possession of my white forester premium in early Aug. No time to write reviews. Been busy on the roads daily with the car chalking up mileage. Very fun car to drive I must say. Exceeded me and my wife's expectations. FC avg 11.6 km/l. The experts' and XT users' reviews on Forester are very true and spot on. What you want to know about the car? Carlovz Clutched November 19, 2015 Share November 19, 2015 Jus curious about the Forester XT's lineartronic CVT gearbox, from MI website, so its actually a 8-speeder? Meaning the Legacy lineartronic CVT gearbox also the same or its a normal 6 speeder CVT?........ since both XT and Legacy do have SI drive

Carlovz Clutched November 19, 2015 Share November 19, 2015 XT has 6 speeds in S mode and 8 speeds in S# mode. Thanks for the advice So even the virtual gears in software form for the lineartronic, the numbers of virtual gears still max at 6 for legacy, XT(except in S# mode where it will max at 8 for XT) right...... Just let go my hawkeye sti, so used to the manual 6 speed, now come to the new age technology.....I like just came from caveman time man... :p

Big change but current car is meant to be a bridging car or appliance until the COEs come down or COE expiry for this car... ↡ Advertisement
