Tai Hwa ?

This is also my favorite fishball noodle .. since the last 20+ years maybe. Nothing fancy or extra ingredients, just cooked to the right taste that's all. No MSG.

Tai Hwa is bak chor mee, this is teochew fishball on the next block by old man, the chilli is quite different from the others.

One of my favorite can be found at many food republic foodcourt now. Li xin fishball noodle. Good concoction of ketchup and chili. Fishball also very nice. And yes, fishball noodle shouldn't have vinegar, vinegar belong to bak chor mee.

To add on, the lard that they prepared is really good.

this stall oso my fav

No mention of Song Kee Fishball Noodles at Upper Serangoon Road?? A lot of cars always park by the side of that stall to eat. But now got the camera and yellow painted lampposts.

There's another 2 more stalls (AMK and Toa Payoh) with the same name. Dunno under the boss or not.

this is good oso

I also like to eat with more chilli and lots of old black vinegar.

One thing must make sure the vinegar is black rice vinegar, there are some

hawkers out there trying to save a bit but at the expense to our health - they use

black artifical vinegar.

Rice vinegar come in glass bottle wheras artifical vinegar come in plastic @ 5 litre.

Rice vinegar got better fragance wheras artifical vinegar is stronger(more sour).

I like the fishball noodles at Yuhua village market & food centre. Before changing owners. The chilli is super nice and best of all, only $2!

Only issue is different cooks, so either bump into the nice one who fulfill your requests or the super rude one that snaps at you for asking for beansprouts.

If still not full, can always hop over to Zai Shun for porridge. :)

Then this is the store that also sells laksa right?

Oh the laksa is a different coffeeshop? I always just buy the laksa from the store beside the chicken rice.

I like the one at Yishun Chong Pang hawker, the stall is near the toilet area. Beside another stall selling pretty nice satay.
