If a 1.5 N/A engine can gain 56Nm with a RS chip, the a 3.7 fairlady engine can gain at least 138Nm....i don't think is possible.

For 1.5na to reach 200nm. Cfm blower is needed.

For 1.5na to gain just 10% improvement in ps/nm, easily throw a couple of thousand.

Even if can gain 10% Ps/Nm,the engine may not lasts in our Weather...That is why VW 'Detuned' the Golf R engine from 300Bhp to 280 Bhp for our Market...to prevent warranty claims on this car.

True. I read bout that too. Something similar was done for the S3 audi too.

impossible for N.A engine to have 20% gain off stock parts. u've to upgrade intakes or exhaust at least.

the reason for RS ship is u its more flexible as u can twitch between fuel eco and performance tune. for ECU remap u can only choose one map.

For N.A Cars its better to tune for economy. so far i saw a vezel on RSChip gained 56Nm of torque.

5.6 Nm is it?

Stock Vezel only got 155 Nm of torque so 56 Nm of gain in torque is too good to be true.

Tune for economy as in save fuel, but end up running lean? Big no no for our sub severe conditions.

I still remember mt Tuner, tuned my Fairlady to 14:1 AFR,the car runs so rough.....now i tune back to 11.5:1 AFR.

I saw the following claim on the RSchip website

HOW DOES RSCHIP EXTRACT ADDITIONAL POWER FROM YOUR ENGINE?

"Car manufacturers tune their engines according to vehicle emission standards and deliberately set lower engine power settings as a measure of precaution against low-quality maintenance service and improper vehicle operation. Also, because of marketing, car manufacturers purposely decrease engine power because more powerful versions of cars are more expensive and less powerful versions are cheaper. "

"Chip-tuning lets you unleash the full potential of your engine without sacrificing reliability as long as you take care of your engine."

My doubts are:

1. "more powerful versions of car are more expensive and less powerful versions are cheaper" does it mean more powerful versions have better parts to handle the power?  If so and we install RSchip, will the engine be able to take the additional power as we are not upgrading the cheaper parts?  Will it cause engine problems like leaks and other failures?  One thing comes to mind is that we might have to upgrade the brakes cos' safety first.

2.  "unleash the full potential of your engine without sacrificing reliability as long as you take care of your engine."  what level of "take care" do we have to do?  Normally, we service car once every 6 months or 10000km, will this still be sufficient?

I am interested in the chip but a bit concerned about any potential side effects.

IMHO, for our street driving from point A to point B, and as long as we are not talking about tracking in pasir gudang at an excessive

racing speed stressing the engine all the time, i would think is fine for the engine.

Lotr, I uses only oct98 petrol and this alleviate the concern as well. No, rschip while having eco setting would not be for those who who wish for eco and fuel saving. Cheers

They also advertised something like "up to 20% better performance" and "up to 10% fuel saving".

So does your reply mean that the user can only choose one or the other and not the best of both worlds?

Yup ....if you chiong like me and over steps on the accelerator but can control your feet after this rschip, you will save fuel in additional to smoothness. Engine with increased torque and power will be more efficient and effective.

wah, reading all the positive reviews of this RS Chip really made me wet my sofa seat. i'm a power loving guy :a-happy:

well, just a question here before i jump into the pool. would this chip compliment what i already have (enhance and better)

or should i just stay with just my tuned Apexi if the RS chip would NOT help much (for that $) ?

Would not help much of you oreli have apexi tune. Rschip is just another piggyback like your apexi and not a remap.
