_h_r_ 2nd Gear April 21, 2015 Share April 21, 2015 The LED lights in JB are not cheap. I visited a few light shops in JB. Some online LED light stores in Singapore have lower prices and better quality than those in JB.

It's like whether u want a toyota for ur fan, or u want a cute renault/peugeot Crestar design looks good and I heard from the local shops its more durable than Fanco. I will go and see and try for myself. Need the fan with bright lighting too. Ceiling fan is not like other electrical appliances (TV, washing machines, toaster,..etc) which can change by ourselves easily. Usually once installed wont change for the next 10 years. I remember my friend commenting on crestar saying hers had some problem from 4th year onwards. Still operational but only at some fan speeds. I guess most fans will be fine for a few years. ya my general impression is that crestar is more durable than fanco
Chickenfarm Turbocharged April 21, 2015 Share April 21, 2015 Fan is extremely hot if you leave it on most of the time. Even car also need servicing after certain mileage but a fan recieves none...perhaps a couple of dusting. About 4 to 5 years and certain speed will be out of order. This is especially so when you are always on higher speed like 2 or 3...1 will kaput. Like what they say with electrical items; you don't use it often, it will up lorry.

Robo 2nd Gear April 21, 2015 Share April 21, 2015 I bought lights in JB. Philips LED are 30-50% cheaper than in SG. Those T5s are a mere fraction of what you will pay in Sg. Ceiling fans thou you have to be cautious. take note of the height. I made the mistake, end up i bought another fan from Sg, but i manged to sell the fan off at cost.
