Any avante driver here change their aircon compressor before? How much does it cost and which aircon servicing shop should I go ? Need to change or just change oil? since only 3 more years to drive... sometimes, you may not need to replace the entire compressor. it could be due to a worn magnetic clutch or something else. go get a second or even third opinion from an automotive aircon specialist. Mark-Cool (Ah Huat only), Tomika, L & Kim etc.

It's sort of an all-in-one place for car repair as it's next to a tyre shop and there's a workshop behind too. all within the same compound. they are an approved center for aircon courses and exams. prices slightly high but acceptable, with proper vacuum machines to do the job. 3. Fresh Cool at Jln Tangki Air, that short dead-end road where there's an old Shell station at the junction, and somewhere opposite Bomba Larkin along Jln Tun Abdul Razak Susur 4 (famous for ah kuas! ). reasonable price but no vacuum machine for refrigerant. they can repair aircons of most types of cars and do compressor conversion job with the proper piping. M3oso 1st Gear November 10, 2015 Share November 10, 2015 My 9th years Mazda3's aircon compressor also giving tick-tick (close to tuck-tuck) sound, was on and off when the compressor kicks-in, I also thought it was bearing issue. I then went to Mark-cool, look for Ah Huat, he said it was the compressor running low with the aircon oil, he then performed a 15 mins job, using their machine to suck out gas, pump in aircon oil and gas. The tick-tick (or tuck-tuck) sound was gone since then. Total cost: $32.10.
