Othello Supersonic April 18, 2015 Share April 18, 2015 (edited) this looks like rear absorber. There should be an external cover .... if you ask me, I would replace IF your mileage is high (> 100k) and you have at least 3 years COE left Edited April 18, 2015 by Othello
Kb27 Supersonic April 18, 2015 Share April 18, 2015 I think that is a bump stop. Without it, the spring when fully compressed will hit the chassis. Replacing it, usually means removing the whole thing and and replacing the bumper.

TS, pls seek advice from wkshop. replacing bumpstop should not be exp. but like I say, if mileage is high, you might want to consider replacing your shocks together. Othello Supersonic April 21, 2015 Share April 21, 2015 (edited) If changing Absorber (2x front and 2x rear), do I need to change any other parts as well ? (ie. bushing, arms..... etc.etc....) might wanna consider --> front - mounting & bearing Rear - mounting 1. check price and stock availability. Best is nearby wkshop. 2. once they dismantled, check to see if still ok. If no, get from stockist immediately. Or you might just wanna change for peace of mind. Not expensive. Prob less than $200 for all 4. or you can let wkshop earn by asking them to get for you everything. less hassle for you. Also, check your front lower arm, tie rod end and drop link. Watch for the rubber bushings Edited April 21, 2015 by Othello
