Jiayong 3rd Gear April 18, 2015 Share April 18, 2015 How come some kids will become like that in Primary school? Is it because parents work too hard and leave them to maids? Especially the $1 per day case. Omg....Any MCFers here have stories to share? http://edumatters.sg/bullying-what-can-you-do-about-it/ ↡ Advertisement

Sosaria Twincharged April 18, 2015 Share April 18, 2015 I can tell u it happens in branded schools as well. Parents need to bring up to the teacher, and if no improvement, escalate to principal. Sometimes teachers are too burdened with admin work to deal with these matters concerning their students. Principals and school mgmt need to realize that overburdening teachers with admin work will result in more such problems.

Be factual and don't make a din out of it, as the intention is to resolve the issue. One time though, the parent wasn't cooperating and the kids were eventually told to avoid each other in school. Not sure if that was a better path, but it seemed to work.
Nzy Twincharged April 18, 2015 Share April 18, 2015 (edited) Nowadays kids are like that. I was at bishan mcdonald's and saw this whitley sec sch boy trying to pick a fight with a SJI student. From their conversation, the whitley sec sch boy is sec 1 and the SJI student is sec 2. The whitley guy keep taunting the SJI guy saying he no balls to fight. Keep taunting him by saying if he cut his queue the SJI guy also won't dare to do anything to him. Edited April 18, 2015 by Nzy

antelop 5th Gear April 19, 2015 Share April 19, 2015 The KPI for those branded schools principals is only one. That is how much money she|he is able to raise from the students and the alumni. Teachers are similarly encouraged if not pressured in intense fund raising activities from the students. All these thanks to our money minded multi million dollars ministers instruction.

Problem when both parents are busy working and clock long hours at work. Weekends also too busy to spend time with children and want ME time with spouse, to go dating. End up weekends, you see many children taken care of by the maids at playgrounds. Better not have kids. Singapore can depend on foreign talents. CECA can fill the population gap when the entire famililes move to Singapore.
