Voodooman Supersonic April 15, 2015 Share April 15, 2015 (edited) Surprised this was not discussed in MCF since we have Ferrari and Maserati in the picture. I have "donated" many times to top up the shortfall as failure, according to my kids, is not an option. Donation should be voluntary and best effort, think MOE should not allow schools to hide behind this get out of your comfort zone argument. https://doc-0s-6s-docs.googleusercontent.com/docs/securesc/ha0ro937gcuc7l7deffksulhg5h7mbp1/tnse3eibc1hrk6sr0l3q5ttv96hogj26/1429056000000/00863412894456763530/*/0B92zAtVEUwlmcHdvMnc1aml3UGZKcWhKMWNYLUVmVU1SYnNN?e=download Edited April 15, 2015 by Voodooman ↡ Advertisement

Maxus-MIFA9 Supersonic April 15, 2015 Share April 15, 2015 Everyday whilst driving along Dunearn Road, those rich cars parking waiting to pick up childrens .... Qpik Supercharged April 15, 2015 Share April 15, 2015 Bcos we hv PFC(pay full cash) or CRG(cash rich gang) here in MCF. Jokes aside, those with strong ties would probably think nothing of forking out hundreds of $$ if they can afford it. I know my nephews' sch had a carnival afew years back where there was a father iirc actually charged $30 for a short ride in one of the several sport cars he transported to sch. N I was feeling the pinch cos I had to donate to support my nephews cos the pressure was there to hit the quota. I felt the same for my boy who is in a neighborhood secondary school. As for my ger, no pressure cos at least they come up with stuff like buying food which we do consume. And any additional donation they carried out, it for charity purpose where one can choose to buy coupons for carnival, rent a stall or help out. Conclusions, the pressure to donate doesn't just come from schs constantly in limelight but also neighborhood school. It is the Principal who makes the difference. Ender Hypersonic April 15, 2015 Share April 15, 2015 I donated less than $10 per year.. My son has this raffle ticket during chinese new year. I buy what's ever left he can't sell. I think it's good opportunity for primary school students to interact with adults. No pressure here.

Barker is the lesser rich one I think. dunno how they define the difference but usually I saw in newspaper, ACS indep got better results in school sport events as compared to ACS Barker road. so I think better result one goes to ACS-I and lousier one to ACS-B? So much loose change I keep it for my own use, why give it to a school? Wrong topic to be discussed here. Rich unkers here put loose change on xmm's bikini or hang flower garlands on some bar hostess. LoL... This is what they call loose change.

Ktglfc Hypersonic April 15, 2015 Share April 15, 2015 Still, neighbourhood schools are better, less stress on child and less stress on the parents .... be it education, or "voluntary donations" ↡ Advertisement
