The whole point of buying a biggish sedan is size, so if it were shorter, wouldn't you feel ripped off

Can the ACC be used in Singapore roads? Does the 2l comes with auto parking?

ACC referring to what? Adaptive Cruise Control?

Yes you can! And it works as you would expect it to, except in cases that mainly occur around curves. (e.g. once I got slowed down by a bus in a neighboring lane along a curve)

Unfortunately we didn't get the Active Park Assist on the original 2.0L batch of Mondeo, which is a big shame given how much help it would be with such a long car especially since Active Park Assist also adds the side-sensing system (based off references built from rear/front sensors I think, though).

Still, with the full 8 front/rear sensors it isn't all that difficult to park the Mondeo except in really tight spaces.

If Active Park Assist is a -must- for you however, consider the Grand C-Max Titanium or Kuga Titanium models which I believe were brought in with Active Park Assist.

Alternatively Mercedes and BMW have smaller class models (B-Class and 2-series Tourer specifically) in this price range with self-parking features. The Volkswagen Golf and Peugeot 308SW also have automatic parking for a lower price point.

Have anyone else ever encountered a change in the audio feedback for the parking sensors?

I had one instance where the parking sensors produced a louder beeping as opposed to the more subdued 'took' ticking sound used by the system normally. I presume it to be a software glitch.

I also had at least one instance where the beeping for the FCW glitched out and played in a stuttery fashion.

Not sure if its the same.

When reversing, I realize that my radio volume gets turn down automatically and with it the audio feedback beep sort of goes along with it. not sure louder or softer, will try to pay attention to observe (if I rem lol).

For the proximity parking sensors, I realize that sometimes in traffic jams or in crawling traffic, they do go bonkers as in oversensitive of sort. especially if motorcycle zoom past. happen occasionally so I can let it slide.

My sound system volume gets reduced when a sensor is triggered; usually it doesn't reduce the volume until a sensor is picking up something. Doesn't seem to affect the reverse sensor volume. But sometimes it seems it forgets to return the volume of the music back to normal. Haha.

My actual issue that one time is that the sensor sound was different altogether.

Latter always happens to me when a motorcycle zooms past when I start crawling... they trigger my front sensors. Sometimes also if someone tailgates me I see the display pop up (but no sound)

Sorry about the slowness with the whole review thing guys. Everytime I think it up and tell myself I'll type it in tomorrow something stops me.

But anyway, I have an analogy for how I view the current Mk V Mondeo compared to the old ones;

It's like a person experiencing a life crisis, after having a life of numerous friends... having lost touch wiith its friends (customers) who have decided to huddle over with the trendy guys (SUVs & crossovers), the Mondeo's person equivalent decided to pretty itself up (restyle its exterior in a more exciting way) and study really hard (adopt latest technology). Then, it softened its approach (went comfort rather than dynamics) to make more friends and then learnt CPR (safety technologies) to protect its new friends.

And so we have the Mk V Mondeo. More stylish, smarter, more comfy.

Wow wow wow!!! Mondeo Estate... just unaffordable for me, I'm afraid... hahaha...

It's still an excellent car... I would have dearly loved to have bought the 1.5 L turbo...

How is the touch-screen? Any lagging experience?

I think this model is considered fully done up, no need much modification. Perhaps the best modification is to have a chiobu sitting beside you. Haha.  [drivingcar]  [laugh]

the touch screen kinda slow, cannot expect to respond like our smart phone. Like the fast back kind of look of the car, Just thought wanna add something subtle. But workshops that modify ford are rare, if not none. haha

Does anyone know why there is only the option of beige leather....

i got mine a year ago. Leather was locally fitted. Back then i had a few options, beige, grey, dark grey, black and dark red (+200). Chose black.

Thinking back, should have paid 200 and get the dark red. whats 200 compared to the cost of the car?? ha!

Cos the beige option is some special ceramic don't know what... it's special... very soft and pliable... but not very lasting...

Actually the new sync 3 was pretty fast and responsive when I tried it in the demo. Supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car is very well spec. Edited by Rcaero

The car is already very handsome. I don't think it is necessary to dress it up.
