Anyone managed to install apps to their SYNC2 system or connect the car to the internet?

In other news, the repair bill is more than 10k... [shocked][dizzy]

$10K??? That's nuts!!! What is the breakdown?

Who pays? You or the insurance of the party that damaged your bumper?

this one no argument, the other side's insurance is covering it. Quite a lot of the cost is the labor fees (5.5k), while the parts make up almost $8k after their negotiations.

As expected, AD's big big margins and the fact that the parts must be brought in for the job

Sorry to hijack this thread. Any one driving the old Mondeo or any versions have problem with their wheel nuts?

The nut threads has worn and torn thus making it hard to screw or unscrew. I am unsure of the the ones on the internet fitting. Anyone bought before?

Go find a workshop to help you, ususally those studs can be replaced individually.

You can buy from Regent Motors. Not cheap though. I think $8 per nut.

I am reading off the screen. No warning message for the chime. Everytime crossed the 130 will chime without fail.

I experience this too but think it is a safety feature but don't know how to disable. Mine is 120km I think.

The peeling is at the side of the front passenger seat. A patch of about 4" to 5" in length and 1.5" in width. The peel off leather even drops out onto the seat.....

:ouch-it-hurts:

So far mine still ok. May I know how old is your car for it to happen?

I spotted it one month after I took delivery of the car.

Has any Bro here resolved the issue with RM with regards to peeling leather seats yet?

You are driving a Mk III or Mk IV Mondeo? The leather peeling issue has cropped up only on some new 2.0L 2015 Mk Vs, so I don't think you need to worry about yours.

Quite a few owners affected, but I'm not one of them.

If it doesn't make sense, perhaps your other options are Passat Variant or maybe the Mondeo wagon will make an appearance later in the year.

I was contacted by RM last week with offer to change the entire leather upholstery for the car, even the door leather panel to match. Due to the long issue yet to be settled by the factory, RM has stepped up to offer a light grey all-leather replacement for the interior. It will be done locally with 3-year warranty. I have yet to go and have a look at the colour sample. Although this is a good option for some who were concerned about maintenance issue of the cream upholstery, I kinda like it very much. But if the factory is not taking action, then at least there is another option.

FYi for all others affected by this issue.

what about those who don't have leather peeling issues? Can still take the replacement leather?

I went to take a look at the 'local leather' last week.  It is the same as the 1.5 model on display but in my opinion, the quality of the 'local leather' is not comparable to the factory fitted original leather.  I would rather wait for the solution from factory, hopefully may takes a few more months to resolve.  In my opinion, i think the new Toyota Carmy 2.5L offered better quality of leather then what RM is offering now.   [smash]
