Bros need to change my side mirror(full set with motor), anyone knows the part number and also how many wires inside?

Good news is i found the part number. For those that need it, can use the following. Normally for Auto-fold issues, its normally the auto fold motor. Can get it at Thien Seng Singapore at $110. ( to note when changing the part to tell the mechanic not to just cut the wire but to install the full piece)

Part Number is 76204-SNA-U01

Going to Jet Cheng on 15th November

1. Doing servicing

2. Cleaning throttle body

Any other recommendations to increase FC? Previous owner installed some racing chip. May ask Jet to take that out.

I realised that Jet had been using 5w-40 as my car is my than 10 years, this in turn causes higher FC but better engine protection. Wonder if i switch to 5w-30 or 20 will there be any problems( Anyone tried scaling down from 5w-40 to say 5W-20?. Jet feels that for older cars, its not recommended to use 5w-20 as it may not offer enough protection for older cars.

i heard the same from my honda-pro workshop too.

i’ve looked this up previously and i have the impression that fc increase is pretty minimal.

safe to say if you’re hitting 400km/tank things are fine

i supposed you’ve changed the consumables already(plugs etc)

how’re things with the racing chip? :)

Jet changes the oil to 5w-30 and did throttle body cleaning. Immediately notice FC is better. Will monitor n update. For the racing chip haven took it out yet. Maybe next trip. Yup actually hitting 500 per tank normally but hoping for 600.haha

in US, the FDs there are running 5w20 engine oil. in SG, i believe the owner's manual states 5w30 engine oil. unless you have reasons to believe otherwise, you should stick to a 5w30 or 0w30 engine oil.

Thanks. Yes will stick to 5w-30 from now on. So far so good

Thank you for the recommendation on Chuan Heng Signcrafts, will proceed down to get my plates changed with them in a few weeks time.

Any FD4 owners here replaced their headunit before? The single-DIN Alpine aftermarket unit that came with the car spoiled, looking to get a single-DIN headunit to replace, any good shops that I can take a look at? Came across Autoimage Enterprise (Sin Ming area), anyone has any experience with them? Thanks again for any inputs.

Hi there. If you are looking for a single DIN head unit I may have one to spare. Mine is also Alpine but I need to go dig it out first. Can I update you next week as it is not at my place. Give me a bump if you don't hear from me.

Hi, thanks and appreciate your help, if it is the same Alpine headunit model that came with Civic FD4 with Kah Motors then I shall give it a pass. Am looking for a current model (open to other brands like Pioneer, not limited to just Alpine) with more sources like USB and AUX inputs as opposed to the current Alpine one which has just the 30-pin Apple connector for iPods, hoping to ger from a reputable audio shop that can provide installation and warranty.

Try this contact. He did my license plate just a few weeks ago. He came to my carpark to install. Front and back $50. A few designs to choose from. He will make first once you confirm and then deliver, install and collect payment. When he comes to delive, the process if 10-15mins.

There is a free lancer called Ah Meng. You can check him out on facebook. He charges about $60 based on what you want to do. He will come your carpark to do.

But do note that you will need a dash unit( you can order this from amazon) and also a connecting wire to bridge the original cable.

If you are not so familiar with ordering the dash and all. Then I recommend you consult Ah Meng

Thanks

First confirm that it is only your auto-fold that cannot work meaning the mirror should be able to still movie up and done, left and right. If only auto-fold spoilt, then you can get the same part. It is $110 for one pc. For the left side one, they should have. You can call thien seng and check. Price is the same or cheaper than the driver side. After I bought from thien seng, I brought to Jet Cheng(in skudai) and installed for 80rm. Tell whoever you ask to install not to cut the wire but to remove and install the whole piece.

Yup all the best in your decision making, the reason i choose freelancers is as I like to buy the stereo system i like from Amazon. But if you are more comfortable doing with a shop and have warranty, of course will pay more but will be able to do based on your preference.

I ordered this from amazon, single din uni. Singapore $107 inclusive of shipping, so many models to choose from, pioneer, JVC, Alphine.
