Could it be of different headunit, Lately i went to the showroom, its looks like the headunit is different from the earlier batch. The home button from the earlier batch is a square shape button, the one I saw lately is in round shape and has lots of functions. I have yet to collect the car, not sure which unit they will be giving.

This model looks better with physical volume button. It's a pain for the passenger to change volume on the head unit without the physical volume button as u have to navigate through the menus to find it.

Mine is the classic model, collected last Saturday, with the headunit as shown in the photo, the one with the home logo in circle. My brother who collected his Altis in end March, also classic variant, has the same head unit as mine too.

Does the "new" head unit have access to modify the car settings or configuration ?

What car settings are you referring to.

By the way is there any way to adjust the brightness of the speedometer....

Turbocharged

The Altis has electrochromic rear view mirror. It automatically adjusts the angle of reflection to minimise glare.

Would be better if it was like this:

15rdf-aurion-accessories-mirror-536x302.

The superior technology incorporated in the Electrochromatic Mirror allows you to see behind your car while you look forward. When activated, the mirror features a 50mm x 38 mm colour LCD screen with images provided by the Reversing Camera, keeping you aware of any obstacles at the rear of the car. When not in use, the LCD screen is invisible to the eye and the entire area of the Electrochromatic Mirror works as a mirror.

If you want this kind of mirror with hidden screen, go to the Korean brands haha... KIA & Hyundai both using this sort of design.

Though I prefer my reverse cam to be on the big interior screen if there's one.

E.g. Auto headlights light sensitivity, Illumination after locking the car, etc .

Yes, the brightness can be adjusted. Off hand can't recollect how without the car.
