ConnorMcLeod 2nd Gear May 4, 2017 Share May 4, 2017 I guess it is due to the fuel tank. Just wondering if I always top up @ half tank, my FC manuel calculation would be fantastic. Haha, we spent more time with the car then Toyota. If lucky, we get a service guy who also drive this model, then maybe he can share more. Ever since I got my altis, I monitor the FC per trip, n FC per tank. Sometimes I think this is a bit excessive. Now I know the FC the car can achieve and variation is due to traffic condition , I am switching to watch FC per service interval , to watch for maintenance needs instead. ↡ Advertisement

My fuel tank is 70 L... don't sweat it bro... we live in tiny Singapore lar...2km/L difference is not very large to me. For per trip FC on weekday, the best I can get is 20km/L. The worst can be 12km/L. I am lazy to calculate the possible best n worst trip combos here but dont think it's a surprise Several combos give difference greater than 5he average value of 16km/L. Therefore just driVe the way you feel like.

Altis2016 1st Gear May 6, 2017 Share May 6, 2017 My km/l from dashboard and calculation is also pretty close. I think to monitor FC per trip is a bit excessive. It is ok initially to understand how the FC drop when one drive in various road conditions. Now, just by looking @ the fuel gauge and the distance travel, I will have a rough idea the FC for this particular full tank. From my experience, from the smoothness of the drive and speed the car travel when cruise (w/o) stepping on the acc, I can roughly gauge the FC. Initial few months to know the car's performance, and how to adjust my driving style to achieve a good FC. After that, drive with the adjusted driving style and monitor the bigger intervals instead. no point to sweat over FC variation at per trip level really. I will watch FC between service interval instead. was tempted to buy the techron concentrate when i top up today @ ~21SGD. Says at every 5k km interval. But now there is not yet 'loss of power, fc blah blah blah' so didn't think it is needed yet. I collect km/L from dashboard and by calculation. ConnorMcLeod 2nd Gear May 6, 2017 Share May 6, 2017 ( --- just in case this is appended to my last post --- ) The choice of info to display on the dashboard cluster is quite sufficient and relevant. But, we can only customise two pages of the four pages, with 3rd page being the (to me) useless picture to display instantaneous FC, and 4th page is blank. Anyone know whether BM can help update these pages for us based on our choices? I saw my friends older Altis has different format with the cluster. I cannot be sure if the display size is the same but would be keen to know if this is also a firmware change between old to ours. Any clue?

There is a "popular" place selling EO and stuffs that has this below $20. If you need to know, PM me.

Arkantos 2nd Gear May 22, 2017 Share May 22, 2017 Anyone recently collected Altis tried to link locking unlocking door to P? Seems I can't make it work. The default seems have speed linked locking already, so every time when stop need to manually unlock I'm one of the new owners who managed to link all doors unlocking when engaged to P after getting my new ride. You can always refer to the manual given and follow instructions from there. This is how i do it. All doors closed. Press on start-stop button 2 times. Dont step on brake as it will start engine. All electronics should be engaged. (Ignition ON) Ensure gear is on P position Press and hold door unlock button for 5 seconds and then release. (Ensure you do it within 20 sec after Ignition on and exactly ~5 seconds) All door should lock and unlock. You are done. There is an online manual you can refer to it. Its the exact same instruction. http://www.tcorolla.net/automatic_door_locking_and_unlocking_systems-60.html

The default seems have speed linked locking already, so every time when stop need to manually unlock I did mine just by starting the engine as per normal. After that i just press the unlock button for about 5 seconds. After that the door locks and unlocks to indicate setting is done. This is for door unlock when shift to park. Btw. I collected my car last month from BM. Edited May 22, 2017 by Seanlo

Just start engine then press the lock button for 5s, the doors will lock and unlock to indicate change acceptance. My colleague tried on his altis bought in 2015 also faced no issues. Setup is easy and straight forward.
