Thnks for sharing. Thats why i read too on higher psi when car is running for awhile. Probably will try the more efficient route next time to see if it does improves fc. As mentioned before it is the idling that killing the fc. The system will starts calculating when yr is idling with engine one or can i say geared in. Btw i did try shifting gear to N during park mode and the reading disappear frm the odo. But this hurts the gearbox more from what i heard.

Not just idling... even on highway, if you speed up and then brake and then speed up again, it's very bad for the fuel consumption.... best is smooth drive and constant speed. That's why the taxi drivers prefer the highway, they cruise at constant speed and extract maximum mileage while travelling at much higher speeds which more than make up for the extra distance.

Seems iroad v9 has some issue with the batteries. Knw of someone whom have replace the battery in 1/2 yr time due to battery spoilt. His is gng for another replacement i think. Juz informing not trying to say somethng bad abt iroad.

The car battery main purpose is to start the engine.  If use it for other purposes, sure will have issue.

A common solution is to get a higher capacity battery.  This probably can delay the issue by a few months or half a year.

The consumer "feels good" because the issue "apparently" get solved or can push the blame to the car manufacturer for including a lower capacity battery !

Hmm... I thought the aircon got NANOE which is something like an air purifier?

An update on my journey with the Altis.

Did my complimentary respray. On the bonnet and car boot. Did a ding repair on driver door. Both appointments are separate. Thus 2 trips to Pandan.

But the respray on bonnet was not well done. There were swirl marks seen on some parts. I only had time to drive back about 2mths later. The SE entertained my feedback, and rectified immediately. Apparently they didn't sand down properly after paint, and polished. So had to redo. Took about an hour or two.

Still, when I went to a respray workshop to settle my bumper, they still manage to pick out about 2-3 spots that had dirt speck stuck on the paintwork. So those taking the complimentary respray, be warned.

They also noticed the color for the bumper and the color on the fender is a little different shade. Maybe plastic vs metal effect.

I had battery issues few months back. At times it couldn't start up. Need to push button 3-4 times. Risky especially for cold start. Drove into Sin Ming to have it checked out. Seems my dashcam (IROAD V7) used in parking mode, need to set batt voltage to 12.3. Anything below that will render the battery weak for cold start. So far so good for the factory battery. I believe a change is needed by end of 2nd year.

Did my 20K servicing 2 wks back. Paid only for my engine oil. Changed the cabin filter (only free for this change).

I use V9. The guy who installed for me set to 12v too. He say that jap car need at least 12V to start the engine. I find it too risky, so I set it 12.3V.

I bought cig plug in with USB and batt voltage monitor. Whenever I just start the engine in the morning ( the car is not use for 12 hrs), it will show 12.6 to 12.7V, after moving, it will show 13.6 13.7. Not sure whether accurate but just use it as a reference.

It is suppose to be ionizer that generate - or + charges( cannot remember) that neutralize smell in the car I think. It claim that it helps to make the air better in car and improve one health if bath in this environment.

The ionizer need to be serviced and change. Will ask BM when doing my 5k servicing.

Why not just turn off the parking mode?

then no point buying the product for the feature.

The car battery main purpose is to start the engine.  If use it for other purposes, sure will have issue.

agree. when the battery warranty is over, i have to look into a bigger capacity. perhaps the factory set is a bare minimum supplied.

I use V9. The guy who installed for me set to 12v too. He say that jap car need at least 12V to start the engine. I find it too risky, so I set it 12.3V.

12.3V is working for me so far. i rather let the parking mode recording cut off earlier than not able to cold start. hope i can push the battery to last til 1.5-2 years.

finally got my issues solved. it was the trd frt strut bar knocking against the aircon duct. the clearance cant even be pass thru with a piece of paper.

kudo to winston frm BM for the good afterservice and foreman that the problem is now solved.

Hi Sglanevo, what is your feel after installing the TRD frt strut bar? I am still thinking whether to install one.

I will help him answer your qn since I installed it myself too.

My own personal experience is that it makes my turning more stable, I am more confident exiting at slightly higher speed.

The steering will seem slightly tighter than previous.

Of course I do not stop here, I actually installed front lower arm bar and anti roll bar from ultra racing to get a better feel and stability.

No prob bro, anything do ask here. We will try our best to answer your question.

Hi Drion, just curious. Is there any particuliar reason u decide on the TRD front Strut over Ultra racing (UR) Front strut. I was quoted S$150 for UR.

Also, for the lower arm bar and anti roll bar from ultra racing, does it rubbed against the floor when going over large and steep hump or when it go up multi storey carpark ramp.

From Ultra Racing Upgrade.

the UR bar functions the same as the trd bar. only thing is the design of the bars. trd one sits nicely whereas the UR bar left side protruds out and "sort" off partically block the engine oil cover.

the UR bar is a one piece and the trd is is 3 piece, tighten with bolt and nut.

unless u lower yr ride with coilover or springs. if not, driving slowly over the humps have not such issues.
