just to clarify, white mesh is just a cover to the aircon filter tray compartment. The filter tray inside have the filter installed already?

Yo bro, my memory not strong, the cover may be black or maybe don't have.

But the white mesh is the air-con filter.

Ok reset the indicator and getting a fc of 13.5km/l now.

I am satisfied.

I think you get much more satisfaction driving on expressway and resetting the indicator. [cool]

Seriously, I think now Toyota cannot claim their car has one of the best fc b&b car around already... This car already come with CVT, latest engine and tech but yet cannot get a smelly 15kml and above is weak.. Look at vezel and mz3 and even old tech sylphy can easily smoke altis when come to fc performance...

The auto headlight switching on and off at the slightest shadowy parts of the road is the bug even high end cars fail to address.

If you are not on LED headlights, you may be better off disabling the auto mode. The frequent short firing of headlights will shorten the life span of your bulb to a fraction. My previous ride comes with HID and I did not even need to change a single light bulb even though I drive frequently on long journeys NSHW at night. I don't bother with auto headlight I have as I prefer to use common sense over laziness.

Wonderful :)

Not too sure whether you guys notice or is it mine...

As my lights are in auto mode, whenever passing under some darker areas, the lights on the LCD screen and odometer will suddenly become darker / brighter ... and can just hear some faint sound on this "turn on / off" sound ...

Is it normal?

Is it that they transferred the power to the headlights and then dim the lights on the LCD screen and odometer?

Just wondering?

I would not install the brake light from Taobao as the stock one is asthetically pleasing. You never know the quality of LED bulbs from TB. Worst scenario is some bulbs blown and you regret like hell.

Remember, brake lights take more beating than headlights, quality of their LEDs cannot be compromise.

Am referring to this brake light. Not sure if it violate anything like LTA and car inspection?

Seriously, do people choose cars based to FC first? It's a plus point but not on the priority list for most people. I m sure you won't choose to marry a girl because she is lean first.

Yah, even my friend's new mazda 6 with skyactiv comes up to 16km/l and hello it's a 2l car.

Just that you won't doesn't mean that many others dun.

Especially for those who are frequently on the road, having a good fc car is a top priority.

Just like finding a life partner, if say your first priority is that she must be lean, I am sure you won't even venture deeper to know her if her physical appearance doesn't appeal to you. I know some will thought but not others. Haha. Chill man.

Having this strange stale smell whenever I switch on the air con. Putting air freshener but it doesn't help. One fine day, I just took out the whole carpet and detox them with dettol spray, put them under the sun for an hour. Good thing is there is no more stale smell. I suppose we tend to overlook the dirtiest part of the car - the carpet.

Actually, It could be the air con issue. ..though not sure what the actual cause is.

The stale happen only you on the air con?

Maybe you monitor for a certain period of time to see how it is.

Initially, I thought it is the air con problem, not that I haven't put wet umbrella in my previous cars before. I plan to address this issue when I go for my next servicing but now the smell is gone. Will monitor these few days. Just sharing.

I am also experiencing this stale smell...

Every time, I start my car, this smell will come out from the aircon vents...

Thought I have smelly feet or what, then I put air freshener... still, the smell persists every time I switch on aircon... though it will go off after say 5 mins or so...

Will surface this up when I go for 5,000km servicing end this month...

I don't really want to over freshen the whole interior so much so that my body smell like air freshener. Yes, I did try to on the nano thingy but it doesn't rid the odour.

Got try the NANOE purifier?
