Fat_slayer 4th Gear March 10, 2015 Share March 10, 2015 Anyone can advise where can we get this? Seems like a good gadget to have. http://www.techradar.com/reviews/car-tech/tom-tom-gps-and-sat-nav/garmin-hud-1204503/review Seems like its been out for quite some time. However, a search on local garmin website does not feature this item. Thanks ↡ Advertisement

Think gotta link up to Garmin app from smartphone. So you gotta key in location to phone then via Bluetooth or something to connect to the device. USe garmin map on the smartphone and the navigation will be reflected on a plastic sheet pasted on the windscreen that comes with the purchase of the HUD. Sygic do not require additional hardware! https://www.sygic.com Thanks! Sounds like a good alternative.
Reo 4th Gear March 14, 2015 Share March 14, 2015 Think gotta link up to Garmin app from smartphone. So you gotta key in location to phone then via Bluetooth or something to connect to the device. My present car has HUD that projects built-in navigation. However, the map detail and search functionality are far from good. I revert to using a good old Garmin Nuvi. Think about it, we hardly need Navigation and times when we do need it, we want the search to be super-duper: fast, updated and accurate. While it's cool to project on HUD, novelty will wear out very soon. For navigation, it's the above points that beat every other cool factors. Besides, the latest Nuvi LM (55 & 65) the prices are a steal and the newer functionalities compared to Nuvi 255W which I've used for the longest untill recent switch to LM), make them the best navigation aid one could ever get. ↡ Advertisement
