How is the reception

Understand this one can now receive all channels like U, okto etc..

My old one can only receive 5,8 and CNA

Can receive more channels, reception in town area is good even on the move. But some distortions in areas like sengkang, punggol. Overall, still ok.

punggol reception is hopeless, no signal at all

the guys who came and install the digital tuner for me say punggol not ready

but funny thing is that I bring the tuner to my office in jurong industrial estate and it is crystal clear !

I installed roadview mobile tv tuner, made in sg. Reception is strong unless go under tunnel. Signal is strong even under certain car park. All channels are perfect and crystal clear in most areas. Strongest channel will be U channel, CNA and Okto...HD5, HD8, Suria and Vasantham still acceptable, cos tends to be distorpted while driving...just sharing my experience. Overall good for family and children while travelling in SG.

Got it on my new ride - this Pioneer GEX-1750DVB2.

 

Signal reception is similar with other brands that i've used in my previous cars - however, resolution is v good, HD quality, one of the best I've experienced in my opinion.

 

While reading the manual - discovered that

1) antennae was recommended to be installed horizontally - mine installed vertically or rear 3rd windscreen - will try to DIY when free, hope changing he orientation of the antennae may improved signal reception.

 

2)"missing" USB input (to play memory stick/hard disc or record tv channel) - box hidden - will check whether can just connect USB extension.

 

 

Overall - satisfied with this tv tuner.
