Hamburger Hypersonic March 15, 2015 Share March 15, 2015 (edited) Err.... 180 degree is U turn leh Last exit of pie (right side) that joins to ecp towards city. No, but on that day was slightly damp only and my car fish tail anyway it ok I'm on PSS tyres since that day onwards. Actually I feel slightly damp is more dangerous,as oil would stay on top that little puddle of water....... Nzy Twincharged March 23, 2015 Share March 23, 2015 Any tire to recommend that is below $100 per piece? Currently on Thunderer Mach 4 tires and reaching 50k km already. Don't want Kumho Ku31 as I was on those before I switched to my current ones. Ku31 doesn't have as good grip as my Thunderer tires and its noisier. Want to try something different for my next set of tires.

Nzy Twincharged March 24, 2015 Share March 24, 2015 try GT HPY if size available. find it hard to believe a thurder taya can out shine 31... Yeah. Was surprised when the tire shop recommended me this tire. He told me sure good one. But made in Thailand. But all this based on my feel only la. Not scientific. On the Ku31 my car can wheelspin even in second gear under hard acceleration. This tire only some wheelspin in 1st. And cornering just feels better and more confident on this thunderer tires. I feel less understeer. Then Ku31 can't really accelerate hard in the wet cuz it will just keep spinning the wheels in 1st. But this thunderer tire also got cons. Seems to kick up alot of water in the wet. When turning at speeds like 20-30km/h, can see the water spraying up the side windows from the front tire. Nzy Twincharged March 25, 2015 Share March 25, 2015 Wait what ?? You get wheelspin in a Hyundai Verna ?? Not surprising since the verna is such a cheap car. No traction control, ABS or any other driver aids. Under hard acceleration its easy to get it to wheelspin. It isn't just affected by wheelspin under hard acceleration. The car also likes to veer to the right when accelerating hard.

Its not about it being cheap. But unless you whack the revs and dump the clutch aka "doing it on purpose", you should not be getting wheelspin. If you get it regularly, i suggest changing out the set of tyres
Roberttan 5th Gear March 26, 2015 Share March 26, 2015 Verna. Is 15. Its not about it being cheap. But unless you whack the revs and dump the clutch aka "doing it on purpose", you should not be getting wheelspin. If you get it regularly, i suggest changing out the set of tyres No la. Only in first gear and floor the throttle to accelerate quickly then got wheelspin. In first have to gradually increase the throttle. On the Ku31 worse. Changing from first to second also can spin abit if I depress the throttle all the way immediately after shifting. Don't get it regularly. Its only when trying to accelerate hard. Normally don't drive like that so it isn't such a big problem. I only mentioned it because this is what I noticed making me feel the thunderer tires seem to grip better than the Kumho ones.
