Righteousness 義 and Blessings 福 Origins

Blessed Lunar New Year to everybody in this year of the lamb.

 

Have you ever noticed, that the chinese word for righteousness - 義 - is a lamb over a person? Why is this so? Why did the chinese written language, invented approximately 4,500 years ago and said to be the first written language in the world, use these pictures to symbolize righteousness?

 

From my view, since I am a believer, I agree with the explanations given by this person in the following video.

There is no doubt that 義 depicts a lamb or goat on top of a person. Whether you believe this has religious meaning depends on your personal convictions but as a Christian who believes in Jesus Christ as the lamb of God, I find this very fascinating.

Just scan thru the pastor's video, he depicted a goat.

 

Someone should tell him that the goat is not a lamb and the goat god is either Pan the piper, or Baphomet . Both are pagan god and are often referred to as the devil himself. I'm sure most christian wouldn't want the devil over them.
