According to my eye friends, they say presbyopia stabilises in mid 50s.

I think my presbyopia is very mild.
I can read close with glasses on HP but prefer without glasses.

Nowadays notice that if changing distances, my eyes take a while to focus. Like if looking from my phone or in front of me to my TV. takes about 1 second to bring into focus.

This spectacle, 1 temple arm broke cos of fight between the kids last year liao. Lucky the spectacle shop cannabalised another frame to replace.

Only charge $50 instead of a full frame cost. So earned our loyalty.

I started wearing glasses since 4 years old.

I used to break spec every year until spec shop told my parents to get a goldsmith to weld the broken parts together.

Last another 1 more year.

Just ordered my son's glasses.

Since his lenses are two years old and he has some minor astig changes, opted to make a new pair. Plus get a replacement frame for the older pair to be a spare.

Inflation quite significant.

recently went to lenskart for their 1 for 1, me and wife each got a pair of progressive and highest spec lens and we chose the frame with sunglasses clip on, paid $770 for 2 pairs (made 2 pairs 6 yrs ago for about $900).

However I get back $30 from shopback app and $90 from their in house cashback.

Hypersonic

Did my ownday glasses in Japan when I was there. Took 3 days to be ready.

About 12+k yen for titanium frame.

I changed the PD and the astig thing slightly though.

I don't wear it that much though. My old glasses still lighter even though it's scratched up.

somehow i get a feeling that lenses these days scratch more easily than about 10-15 years ago and also seem to become yellower too more faster..... Hmm

Using plastic lenses of course and with transitions (Ok back then I was not using transitions yet .... about 15 years back....also plastic ones)
