Lala81 Hypersonic November 14, 2024 Share November 14, 2024 Just ordered my son's glasses. Since his lenses are two years old and he has some minor astig changes, opted to make a new pair. Plus get a replacement frame for the older pair to be a spare. Inflation quite significant.

Jman888 Moderator March 7 Share March 7 recently went to lenskart for their 1 for 1, me and wife each got a pair of progressive and highest spec lens and we chose the frame with sunglasses clip on, paid $770 for 2 pairs (made 2 pairs 6 yrs ago for about $900). However I get back $30 from shopback app and $90 from their in house cashback.
Lala81 Hypersonic March 7 Share March 7 Did my ownday glasses in Japan when I was there. Took 3 days to be ready. About 12+k yen for titanium frame. I changed the PD and the astig thing slightly though. I don't wear it that much though. My old glasses still lighter even though it's scratched up.
BanCoe Hypersonic March 7 Share March 7 (edited) somehow i get a feeling that lenses these days scratch more easily than about 10-15 years ago and also seem to become yellower too more faster..... Hmm Using plastic lenses of course and with transitions (Ok back then I was not using transitions yet .... about 15 years back....also plastic ones) Edited March 7 by BanCoe
