Last week, i sat in BMW F10 made in ShenYang.  Even BMW cut corner by reducing the number of airbag to 4 only.

 

Mercedes Vito only got 2 airbag rather than 8 airbag.

I like the Oakley glasses with rubbery legs and nose pad. Light and non slip. But common complain is that the rubber turns oily and sticky fast. But those parts can be purchased and changed easily.

i got it changed free at the AD (located at Millenia Tower) before the 3rd year warranty expired. Not sure if Qoo10 or Amazon sell spare parts at a cheaper price.

 

My Crosslink going to fail soon too. So looking around for another pair with rubber legs and pads just purely for running purposes.

I changed my whole spec at 2nd year because they don't have the nose piece and black rubber. 

 

My warranty over that why LL buy find alternate source.

 

Where is cheap to buy Oakley.

no idea. i would think if you are just buying the frame, the prices across singapore would likely be the same as it might be controlled prices. but if you fit a pair of lens, that's when the proprietor can give you some discount.

 

i bought my oakley at Kwong Shin but not sure if their prices are cheap compared to other opticians. But 1 thing damn sure is their service is top notch. My 2nd pair there already.

what i like about them. During eye test stage, there is no rush at all. they will take all the time to finetune until you see clearly. i took an hour or so because one of my eye is a bit abnormal.

 

when you collect your specs, they will redo the lens for you free if there is something wrong. No question asked. I kanna also during my first pair. And they will slowly adjust the frame for you to fit your asymmetrical face until it is swee swee.

 

no wonder they are fully packed throughout their opening hours.

Price there is easily half here.

 

However, I'm still not used to it.

Probably I should just have a normal spec.

The rubber of my crosslink legs finally disintegrated due to sweat and facial oil. Immediate cleaning of the legs after a run might slow down the process but does not eliminate it.

 

So I bought a pair of replacement rubber, just the rubber without legs, from ezbuy. $6+ per pair. Just got it replaced yesterday for this week's runs. Hopefully it'll last.

 

When I replaced the rubber, I was disgusted by the crap underneath the rubber.

 

Google how to do the replacement. The trick is to lubricate the tip of the leg with some liquid soap.

Progressive lenses are very convenient. Sure can get used to it if fitted properly.

I never have progressive lens before, and have heard that it's not easy to get used to it at the beginning.

 

But now the see far / see near difficulty is very obvious liao, so might have to try it out, else everytime at work see far must have specs, then see comp and own notes, must take off...

I used to go oakley service center at centennial tower to replace. But no longer working nearby, so it's a hassle as they operate only office hours.

Took me 1 month to get used to progressive. It's ok now

Just made a pair of Transition lens from there. 

 

The after sales service is very good too. 

 

They changed the nose pad of my Oakley prescription frame for free, 2 pairs somemore.
