Russell Peters returns to Singapore

 

SINGAPORE — After setting attendance records around the world with his Notorious World Tour in 2012 and 2013, comedian Russell Peters will be back in Singapore with his new show, the Almost Famous World Tour. Featuring all-new material, it will be held on April 7 at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.

In 2012, Peters set a new attendance record for the fastest selling and biggest comedy shows in Singapore’s history over two nights at the Singapore Indoor Stadium with 18,000 fans in attendance and many loving the Canadian’s quick-fire banter with the audience.

“I like to interact with the front rows,” said Peters. “I use the interaction to take me from bit to bit. Some guys go on-stage with a script and don’t deviate from it. That’s not my style. I have my set and know what I want to cover; I just use the audience to move me in certain directions. It’s very collaborative and each show is unique.”

The Singapore stop is part of a tour that sees Peters also heading to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, India and Sri Lanka.

Russell Peters performs on April 7, 8pm at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Level 6, Hall 601-604. Tickets from S$108 to S$228 go on sale on Jan 31 through SISTIC.

Just wait for Netflix to stream his tour DVD. Anyway his Almost Famous show I don't know what how many times liao. But out of all the jokers (pun intended) who came here to earn money, his act is more decent. Sadly, nobody even cared Bill Burr is here or is coming or already came.
