Heartlander Turbocharged March 16, 2018 Share March 16, 2018 Just to remind that owners of this ride better remember to check their tyre pressure regularly. People buy this ride because of space and finishing etc but the only downside is the lousy FC. The FC on my ride has been improving gradually from 7km/L to 8km/L within 6 months from purchase, not great reading but acceptable given the ride weight and daily travel usage pattern. But recently all of a sudden the FC dropped to 7km/L and 7.2km/L for the last 2 pumps. Quite unexpected, but then I remembered my wife complaining few weeks ago that she felt the car a bit tight when turning the wheels. I was suffering from gouts then and had could not go to fill up the air though I suspected the tyre pressure might have dropped since I did not pump air for a month or 2 before that. I always give cursory look of the tyres before I drive but did not notice any sagging as most like the air had expanded when I drive in the evening taking over from my wife. So I make the effort to pump up the air. And was surprised to see that the air for both front tyres had dropped to 18xKPa, and my back tyres both dropped to 22xKPa, down from my usual 270KPa all around. And that was 6 days ago. After pumping all back to 270KPa, this morning glad to report that the first tank FC is back to 8km/L. This exercise is more of personal satisfaction and not the minor cost involved. But really glad to have found the cause of the anomaly. Hope it helps fellow drivers out there driving heavy cars, that maintaining proper tyre pressure is important for safety, comfort, and FC. ↡ Advertisement

Heartlander Turbocharged June 2, 2018 Share June 2, 2018 (edited) I would think most Alphard/Vellfire owners would want to zhng their rides with bodikit to make their ride look nicer. When i got my Vellfire last July, what stopped me was the S$7k needed for the Modelista kit. This was quoted by the PI that sold me the ride. Fast forward 10 montha later. Was in JB recently to get certain after market accessory. Was really floored when the workshop quoted me RM4500 to get the Modelista kit. Items included the lower front lip, 2 slide panels with chrome garnishes, rear lower garnishes with exhaust pipe. Total downtime needed only 3hrs as only needed to prep and paste! Too bad i would need to respray the bodikit if i am to get them else severe colour mismatch, so hesitating as quite troublesome. I was given the option to buy the bodikit without installation at RM3600! Now still thinking thinking. I would think it is cheap for the enhancement the bodikit will add to your ride. PM me if you keen as i do not want to be accused of advertising for services. Btw i never ask for the base colour of the bodikit, but i would assume white and black rides would have better luck to get without needing to respray. Sms1219 1st Gear June 3, 2018 Share June 3, 2018 Hi bros Can any kind bros advised where can I get the 360 view for 2018 alphard. I understand many shops has it but all requires drilling of holes. I would prefer those OEM type, without drilling. Thanks in advance
euphoriaa Neutral Newbie June 5, 2018 Share June 5, 2018 Just to share. I have had this issue whereby air-con is not cold on left passenger side. Sent in for service and gas top up, nothing helps. Finally, another workshop found all it take is just a simple reset on its software. Hello everyone. Hope you guys won't mind, I'm from Malaysia and I own a Vellfire 3.5L EL. SGpapabear, I am currently having problem with my rear A/C. The front blows cold but the rear A/C does not blow cold air. Could it be the same issue that you have faced previously? What was the software reset done by the workshop and how much? If you guys dont mind, I would like to join the whatsapp group as well. My number is this +601(two)900529(nine). Thanks and cheers. Heartlander Turbocharged June 9, 2018 Share June 9, 2018 Recently took the time to change the aircon filter afte SE remarked in the service record that it is dirty. Really loved the design of the filter compartment in this ride, can access the filter in 1 minutes without any tool if you know the drill. Anyway the filter is really dirty. I replaced it around last October which was same colour as the pure white one in the picture for comparison. Now really greyish with sand particles and leaves caught in the folds. Would buy more filters to DIY every 10,000 km though recommendation is every 20,000 km. Anyway cheap to buy from stockist and easy to replace, so why not? Heartlander Turbocharged June 9, 2018 Share June 9, 2018 (edited) This morning took time to install the mud guards bought from TaoBao. Total 4 pieces, but installed only the first 2 pieces as the last 2 pieces cannot fit into the profile of the back panels as they are too curvey. Took about 30min to install both pieces as need to decide how best to do it. In the end only remove a screw from the existing screws and used it to tighten the mud guard in place. Anyway quite happy with the look. As I always wash the car myself, always observe that the lower part of the doors always very dirty. Seems like dirty being churned up by the front wheels to the back. Hopefully this mud guards will improve the dirt situation. Heartlander Turbocharged June 9, 2018 Share June 9, 2018 Recently went JB to install this side chrome gurnish touted by the workshop to be original from Toyota. Not sure if true but sure look quality with Toyota logo imprinted proudly at the back of the parts, and fits to the contour of side panels to the T. For those who do not like bodikit, this part will be a good alternative if you do not want something loud. Not that expensive at RM600.

It's a 5 min job with the right tool. I use Juzz Auto in Sin Ming but i cannot rem how much I paid. Or maybe they did not charge me since my car was serviced by them.
