Hi all,

my previous car , SSS, is on sale now!

[thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup] to republic auto. real mileage was reflected , no tampering at all!!!

their profit margin quite low.. around 5% only..:ph34r:

I just change my tire and engine mounting not long ago.

This car was well taken care of and serviced promptly...

If you are interested in this car, you can PM me to ask me anything! i would let you know 1 or 2 things that you might need to change.. otherwise, its a good run horse!!!

Basket. I think I know who you are. But I could be wrong. Recently got buy XC60 also is it?

I prefer Cheon Song Yi

But rear space super small. My height of 1.68m, head already touching the roof...

The roof is abit low bit i think still manageable.. no complain from my passengers so far as they are busy "wow-ing" about the look and interior functions. The leg rooms is quite good and the width is better than my previous SSS.

disclaimer: this is the first time we got a conti so my family and friends were surprised by its look and the number of interior functions.

TS, how much you bought when it's brand new?

Many bash dealer for high mark ups.

If not mistaken the price brand new at $60k?

Drive for 5 years and sold for $50k?

I bought it at $57k . caculated depreciation is less than $1k per year..

They gave me much better trade in price than other show room due to lots of overtrade. was only quoted around $30+k for my SSS in other showroom like nissian. To me i look at the overall package for the amount of $ i need to pay . so overall the CLA i need to fork out $20k more than a Nissian Slyphy

There are many who sold their cars at minimal lost. These people are likely to fight with people whose COE are expiring adding more demands.

I do not think he is advertising in this forum. He is merely recommending a good deal for those who are looking at buying a 2nd hand car.

Sometimes you got to relax a bit.

since you have already posted in sgcarmart, do not advertise in the forum.

Yap. If you change from SSS to CLA the space should be bigger [sunny]

Enjoy your new ride [bounce2][bounce2]

Agree. Everything is relative. If you have a lot of relatives, get an Estima. If you have a Bentley, you will have a lot of relatives. [:)]

Turbocharged

haha nothing against republic. but if they hire more educated sales people their margin on cars should be higher and therefore less likely to be 2k. if the list price only 2k above the purchase price, after next buyer bargain the margin could come down to even 1k. quite impossible.

that why I guess ts could have mistakenly added the overtrade on new cla to his trade in Suzuki price.

actually an overtrade is a discount on the new car's margin and not a higher offer price for their traded-in car.

My same sentiments exactly ; if TS just sell the SSS without buy the CLA , the offer price will be at least 10k below what he got now . In short , its all about the overtrade.

Not saying that TS got a bad deal ; I think he got a fair deal , and congrats on the new ride ! [thumbsup]

actually he already revealed the answer in his previous post.

he said all other dealers only offer 30+k on his Suzuki only republic offer 50k. that is the clearest indication the 50k is at best offered by C&C (not republic auto) and most likely an overtrade. difference in pricing between preowned car dealers is at most a few grands of dollars, never more than 10k for a common make like Suzuki.

it is very rare to be enjoying 7k depreciation (1k depreciation per annum) over the entire years of his ownership of the car.
