Superyandao 1st Gear January 19, 2015 Share January 19, 2015 Anyone has any recommendation for sea freight from US to SG? Thinking of buying a platform bed from US but one of the package exceeds vPost maximum dimensions (221 vs 215cm). The dimensions of the 3 packages: 1. 63x5x12" @38lbs 2. 87x5x8" @36lbs 3. 39x4x40" @45lbs Or anyone has seen anything similar locally? ↡ Advertisement

Vhtfhwlego Supercharged January 19, 2015 Share January 19, 2015 @vhtfhwlego, your area of specialist!!!.LOL.Haha. I'm atas forwarder and use my service not cheap. I offer S$2200 per shipment + S$230 per m3 for this ex-works anywhere USA to Singapore doorstep (provided lift can load the cargo). If lift cannot lift, additional $200 or S$10 per level whichever higher. You go ask any forwarder and I can bet with you they need at least 3 days to revert with rates. But any forwarders offer you $500 ~ $700 lesser than me should be consider as cheap alternative.

Achtung 6th Gear January 19, 2015 Share January 19, 2015 not worth while buddy. Try taobao? Anyone has any recommendation for sea freight from US to SG? Vhtfhwlego Supercharged January 19, 2015 Share January 19, 2015 That S$2,200 is... That bed must worth much more than that to use your service [laugh] If cost of freight can be as % of product.... I used to ship $30m of goods per year and cost of freight at 0.4% for the company. Despite saving $450k for the company in freightage (not adding the finance savings due to the design of LC clauses), my incurement only 6% of my salary. Even with salary of $100k per year, 6% is really peanuts as I saved millions for them. Anyone has any recommendation for sea freight from US to SG? Give them the measurement and ask for a quote. Rather simple in design and easy to do. The most $800 max for this bed frame.

Vhtfhwlego Supercharged January 19, 2015 Share January 19, 2015 And so you left the company... ? [laugh] Yap and immediately they lost at least $500k over the next project. They had just signed a contract which LC clauses/Incoterms designed by me. The profit for the contract is only at S$200k as it was their maiden project in Peru. Was suppose to travel between Israel & Peru for this project. Just 10 days before I travel to Israel, I sack them and serve them a 3 days notice after deducting my annual leave. Was suppose to be immediate if they honour the childcare leave. Reason why I left them at the last min, they block MCF and I was bored. Send out 3 resume and went for 1 interview. 2 days after the first interview, went for the second/final interview during lunch. I was offered a 47% incurement and I tender immediately. Any HR reading this, if you block staffs from entertainment webpage, remember to block job sites as well. If your IT cannot configure only HR department to access to job sites, sack the IT.
