Chucky2007 Turbocharged January 13, 2015 Share January 13, 2015 Yesterday my flight with Singapore airlines got some scare.. The plane was circulating in the air for more than 45minutes, pilot announced that the plane landing navigation system (can't remember exact term he use) is faulty, and visibility is bad due to heavy rain. He attempted landing twice but not successful. In heavy rainy weather land with instructions from Jakarta control tower+ pilots eye vision only. Volvobrick Supersonic January 13, 2015 Share January 13, 2015 Good that you landed safely! 45 minutes is probably about what the aircraft carries as reserve fuel!

SIN-Taipei One way is : 23380 miles Return is : 46750 miles Both ways taxes estimated S$400 per pax. But if you issue TWO Separate tickets (One way + One way), taxes will be lower than a Round trip ticket. Edited January 27, 2015 by Mcf777

Mcf777 Turbocharged January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 Really a joke. Premium miles use on Budget Airlines. If cannot use the miles, I can still sell the miles at a Premium price.

Aiyoh, no need to be so negative lah. It all depends on the 'price'. Maybe the miles required to fly on Tiger/Scoot is attractive? In this case more choice is good. They didn't force. Who knows, some people may want to use their KrisFlyer miles on Scoot or Tiger. I see that happening for people who do not have that many miles. Mcf777 Turbocharged January 28, 2015 Share January 28, 2015 I'm more interested in the "earning KF miles when flying Scoot/Tiger" part.. if you are taking Jetstar and want to claim the miles onto QF acct, you have to pay extra. Per flight about S$30 more.

Cos if you do a one way redemption, the inbound flight will be calculated in foreign currency. You still lose abit in the credit card forex conversion
Mcf777 Turbocharged January 29, 2015 Share January 29, 2015 How much lower? Cos if you do a one way redemption, the inbound flight will be calculated in foreign currency. You still lose abit in the credit card forex conversion Based on the SQ website. A) Round trip (SIN-TPE-SIN) Business class taxes/fuel is S$417.80 B1) One way (SIN-TPE) Business class taxes/fuel is S$219.40 B2) One way (TPE-SIN) Business class taxes/fuel is TWD2400 (less than S$115) Add-up total less than S$334 (minimum S$83 saving per person) Must be very carefully when buying One way + One way. Something due to seat quota problem between each country, buying One way + one way may not be available. But when you buy a Round trip ticket, it is available. Korea and China, also a lot of taxes different if you buy One way + one way. Don't try Japan, the exchange rate is killing. Another reason why you buy One way + One way. You can change your return dates without charge.

If u issue both ways under 1 ticket and u hv already flown the outgoing, SQ will ask u to vomit out the 15% discount if u want to change the return date. Must give them grandma story, then they Dont charge. Can't say so open what are the excuses to use. I learnt it from my friend who works there Edited January 29, 2015 by Mcf777

Just redeem my ticket 2 week ago for end of year for family of 4 to Shanghai Economy class, return business (main reason want my family to try the A380 business). Should have save some base on your information. Now return business redeem only left wait-list (for A380) if want to re-book.
