I've the air-con need to wait 1 min befor it start to get cool problem before, TC changed the compressor for me and its sloved. 2. I also have the "cannot unlock the car by pressing on the door hander button before. TC changed the hold door hander assambly and it sloved the problem. 3. Changed the headunit once, but still no improvement. Poor radio reception. 4. The only things that TC has not change for me is the "2 rubber pads on the shock absorber". They insist that the kicking sound when applying break is normal. For the clicking sound when stepping brake I also have but I dun bother , what I mean for the rubber pads is when I go over humps, it will have a click sound which is very obvious. ↡ Advertisement

I also encountered the door locking problem, everytime need to press the stupid knob afew times before the door lock works. Need to press at a certain pressure and speed. Not too fast, or too hard, it will not work. I have not go back to TC to complain on this. Maybe my next servicing I will complain on this knob thing. As for the suspension problem, I went to TC at Leng Kee, the supervisors there are very good and attentive. They listened to your complain and also arrange the tester to drive with u to find out where is the knocking sound from. But still need to go back a few times before finally address the problem from the front suspension. I believed most of us bought at the high price, and changing car now will be like throwing $$$ into long kang, so we have not choice but to keep the car for a while. Since we supported TC by buying the first few batches of made in Thailand Teana and we have so much quality problems, I wonder how can we ask TC to compensate us in some form, like free servicing credits etc.

I bought 4 cars from them(including my wife car ) I feel paiseh keep going back some time which seems like I am the trouble maker. Feel console that I am not the one have problem. Actually if u look at the new car, u will find the panel near ur left knee cap out of alignment. The right bumper also, a bit loose one. For the bumper issue, they can fixed it by replacing a new clip. I also found out after my car was hit by some idiot in the carpark. The past 3 cars all made in Japan, dun have so much problems. My driver's door handle would also fail to operate from time to time. Very disappointing.

But got another problem I forgotten to raise, my driver side window also have squeaking sound when its wet. I manage to remedy by putting some ' Amour All deskboard shine " hope the sound dun comes back For the servicing, I only goes back every 40k for major servicing, the rest I do outside. Will they void warranty if u skip normal 10k servicing and only do major servicing? My Ride only 1.5yrs. So far so good, they still honour the warranty without any fuss. Anyway all my complaints are non serviceable parts. That's why I still go back to Tan Chong for the past 8yrs. ↡ Advertisement
