Accident along Changi Airport

Was on the way to Changi airport yst to pick up relatives. Saw a accident involving taxis and private car. The road along the airport is quite a mess now. If you drive to airport once in a blue moon, better watch out. The road has become hazardous particularly with the long queues of taxi IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.

This is due to the relocation of terminal 1's taxi arrival and car park. And I'm sure the accident I saw wasn't the first nor the last. Pls drive cautiously slow upon sight of airport.

that new mall is gona cause a huge traffic problem into the airport IMO... pple rushing in n out of airport r gonna get caught by shoppers driving slowly there.

the authority need to plan the lanes carefully and divert the traffic to mall and not inteferring traffic to/fro airport

Must also remember that stretch is 60 kph limit - many many people CHIONG along the whole stretch ---

 

Last time especially when taxi queue all the way back in left lane....and also many people not familiar with correct lane for which terminal, busy looking at all the signs...

there should be bright blinking sign to tell people to slow down, or just have 20 cameras aiming at the road

this stretch of road needs SPEED CAM VERY BADLY

 

many cars like to speed and its a very confusing road

 

we also hv many boleh land cars who are not familiar with all the terminals

 

many taxi uncles treat this road like a F1 race track

It's the renovation at Terminal 1 that's creating the chaos. Ppl unfamiliar with the changes make sudden and drastic moves. Can circle around mah. Kan cheong spiders.

Put some humps at selected locations to "calm down" the traffic speed. This can help enhance road safety.

yes, this type of hump would be great to enforce a "slowdown".

Just like Genting Highlands planted a lot of humps on the roads leading up and down the resort. And sometime back, they had added more rumble strips [thicker than normal, and painted red] before approaching bends on the way down.
