I just bought 2 pcs of OEM fog light, yet to install.

Does fog light really help in locating the lane marking during rainy days as i have really having trouble keeping in my lane when heavy rain

u go Malaysia often? is useful as some road no street lights especially people like me drive in Singapore with street lights all year round.

in Malaysia I don't really get use to "without" street light.

just my point of view. thanks [:)]

What i know about fog light purpose is to make our car visible to all road users but us during foggy days as normal headlight light and brake light serve different purpose all together. In local context, these front and rear fog light are irrelevant since we do not have fog but haze.... ha ha ha :)

Dunno what the fog LTA approve installation on fog lights, particularly rear ones.

They should do enforcement on those who on the fog lights.

Told all drivers who need to on fog lights, either front or back or both in Singapore even with the strongest rain, either your windscreens or wipers are crap or you just shouldn't drive in such conditions at all, fog lights for that matter doesn't help keep you in lane.....it's you steering wheel.

If your rear windscreen has no wiper, use rain-x, use it on you windows and side mirrors.

Use good wipers and clean your front windscreen.

I can still see clearly due those storms that cause floods at AYE, Orchard rd and Bedok.

Even driving to Malaysia also rarely need to on Fog lights, because just don't drive late at night.

Just fogging irritating

Fog lights as the name suggests is, to use on foggy weather, not on "no street lamp" roads. LOL...

On these "no street lamp" roads, you use high beam, but always dip to low beam when there's an oncoming vehicle.

The real Malaysians drive with his/her fingers constantly switching the head lights when driving on "no street lamp" roads.

When really foggy (not here or even Malaysia) we are talking about visibility of maybe 10m 20m, you would really need the powerful rear fog lights. As for front fog lights, they are mounted very low and shine downwards, so that the reflections on the tiny water droplets would not cause whiteout right in front of the windscreen. They are not to meant to improve visibility for oncoming traffic.

The way drivers here use fog lights is just to irritate front and back drivers....

Personal preference lah

Some car owners like their cars lighted up like taking part in chingay parade

Others like to go stealth mode.... no need lights at all

All the Christmas tree light they put up on their car must blind others drivers.

Especially illegally HID and rear fog lamp.

i know some cars will have their front fog lights turned on if switch to "Auto" for head lamp settings. rear fog lamps have to be turned on purposely so damn those buggers.

Fog light don't really lit the road ahead of you due to the positioning, you can change the bulb to the best HID but still can't see much.

In Malaysia, I turn it on so that others can see me better from their rear view mirror.

Switch to "Auto" doesn't mean the front fog lights will be on together with the headlights, there is another switch for fog lights.

Don't understand why some driver like to turn on their fog lights, for showing off?. Some cab drivers do that, too. TP should clamp down hard on those motorists. And, if you drive in Malaysian you can see many motorists turn on their fog lights too. I never turn on the fog lights unless it raining very very heavily where visibility can be a problem. But I think turning on the head lights will be sufficient. [sunny]

thou fog light is not necessary in singapore, but a must have if you frequently drive up north, especially to places like Genting and cameron. once I drove friend's car instead of mine to genting. no fog light. it is dam hard to drive thru the fog. also on NSHW, when u drive on highbeam (when no other car is infront or incoming direction), fog light can cover the blank out area infront of the car, which high beam do not cover.

PS: I usually leave sg ard 2am and reach genting ard 6am.
