Any Mobilio owner can verify the inner wheel liner? Mine is a pearl white and the rear wheel doesn't have inner wheel liner. I saw a silver one with front and back inner wheel liner. See attached photo? How come the standard is different ?

Hi Elmo, did you opt for the Kah Shield ? From what I see yours inner wheel liner is half a piece and the rest is coated with the Kah Shield ?

Hi. I did see a Kah Shield sticker on my rear window but didn't remember opting for it. LOL.

Just went to Honda showroom today... the mobilio seem to be having a good deal and look wise not too bad. Overall look very tempting

Looking this forum, seem like quite a number of bros have already being driving the car for a few months. Any feedback?

Some reviews online mentioned that the pickup from 60 to 100km/hr seem to be no so good. From real life experience driving on the road, is it that bad?

Thanks for any feedback.. good or bad.

Hi. I have been driving the Mobilio since May 15. I have given a short review in an earlier post here.

To add on more about the drive itself. It has sufficient torque for merging, overtaking and keeping up with traffic.

At 80 to 90 km/h, the RPM is still below 2K, it is a smooth cruiser.

After my 2nd servicing at 10K km, I found the throttle response to be better and the pickup at cruising to be smoother for overtaking. It doesn't sound as strained as before as when the engine was running in.

Tyre pressure makes very noticeable difference in the handling and comfort of the ride. I found 31 to 32 psi to be optimal. Anything lower and it feels a bit sluggish. Anything higher and the ride bounces more obviously.

The 15" wheel looks too small for the ride but I think it contributes to the adequate pickup. It's width is only 5.5 inch where aftermarket rims of the same 15" is about 6.5 inch. The wider wheels should help in cornering stability but it will inflict a small penalty in pickup due to more rolling resistance.

I will likely stick to the stock rims while changing tyres in future. The stock tyres are quite noisy over rough roads and I will update here once I change to quieter tyres.

Hope you will like it enough to own it. It is still a value for money buy for me and my family loves it much more than my previous car.

Cheers!

Agree to this.  Its 185/65 -15?  15 x 5.5  have many choices w/o compromising pick up.

e.g,. 185/60, 175/65, 185/65.   The many panel-vans in the market should ensure that this tyre sizes stay available.

I am driving a 8 years old Stream and need a replacement soon. When to take a look at this Mobilio. In my opinion, cannot make it both inside and outside. No offense to those who picked this car.

Wonder what Honda is trying to do when they introduce this. I saw the Honda spada 2015 on youtube, it is world apart. I am sure Honda can do better even if they wish to cut corners to save cost.

I would rather go for Wish which was priced $124k with full body kits.

I'm in the same situation looking for small size MPV. Agreed that Mobilio styling and build quality can be better especially compare to the recent generation of Honda car. However there is 1 big plus point which is roof mounted air-con. This is really important especially for 3rd row passengers.

I have sit in both Steam and Wish 3rd row under hot afternoon sun before and its really bad. So I guess there are still some valid reason people buy Mobilio. Other option would be Conti MPV but then, reliability and service cost might be another concern compared to Japanese cars.

Will be getting the Mobilio in next 20 days.

Decently pleased with the test drive using my maximum full load (parents, wife, 2 toddlers, a maid, myself + sales person), through it was under powered compared to my current ride - Grandis... Anyway I am prepared for the downsized in expectations in term of power and features such as sonar which I will sorely missed. Looking forward to the savings in fuel and road tax through.

I agree with some of the Bros here.

The mobilio really looks horrid.

The stream. The airwave look so much better.

Mobilio cannot age well. Another 3 years I'm sure everyone will get sick of the look.

It's one of the worst looking Honda cars these days.

On the contrary. I love the new Honda jazz. The odyssey. The vezel.

The interior left much to desire.

However I liked the exterior which is a pretty small upgrade from my bland but reliable Grandis.

Or maybe it's hidden bengism which is attracted to the inbuilt sports kit.

My wife didn't really like it much, especially the fog lights. Guess each is to its own.

Actually outside looks pretty decent but inside the driver's cockpit is really basic. Doesn't give the excitement as compared to driving a Mazda 5 or Toyota wish which were our other choices. (No power sliding doors, no sunroof Etc...)

However Honda does well in providing things that REALLY matters I.e second row Aircon, Fuel efficiency, drivability is decent too and most importantly reliability (vs conti cars). I think somebody mentioned previously that the plus point of having mechanical vs electronic parts for the air conditioning Etc is that it doesn't break down as often and even if it does it's much much cheaper and easier to fix. (I guess this is also subjective depending on what matters to each individual...) My wife says she feels that the passenger compartment behind is of better make than the Mazda. (Puzzled as to why she feels that way) Finally, price wise is a whole 10k diff from the wish upfront not to mention the additional road tax, insurance and also Honda provided a much cheaper interest rate of 1.88%.

All in all the Honda mobilio isn't an exciting car but it meets our requirements and brings my family from point A to B at the lowest cost. I guess it's meant to target consumers in this group. For those that can afford it, there's always the odyssey :)

Not driving one but I think the Mobilio design actually grows on you the more you look at it. Pretty unique arched and sleek look unlike the usual boxy MPVs. And agreed on the manual controls, may not be as snazzy but these should be more durable as compared to electronics which are more susceptible to damage from heat.

Bro if you are signing, might want to ask about Citi loan at 1.58%.

No I do not work for them (-:

Usually they give some rebates/discounts if you take their in house loans. It worked out to b cheaper taking the in house.
