t0y0ta Supercharged December 24, 2014 Share December 24, 2014 I sat in this car a few months ago in Jakarta. It was my business associate's new purchase (2nd car) which cost only around SGD$12k there - considered a very entry level vehicle there to capture the low-end market. The quality of the interior plastics are the worst I have ever seen - equal or worse than Proton Saga/Wira efforts. Hopefully the version imported into SG will be much better.

Where got 12k The cheapest was about 16k Still cheap lol I saw many of them in Batam earlier this month. From the rear view, I thought it was a Vezel. It looks quite impressive. U shud check the interior It speaks about its price I would say freed a better car

Choosh 1st Gear December 25, 2014 Share December 25, 2014 I rented and drove the mobilio around thailand recently. The main selling point of the car is the incredible space inside. For its class of car, there is lots of headroom and knee room and the 3rd row is actually usable. Honda liberated a lot of space in the car by having a short frontal overhang, high roof line, smallish dashboard and thin seat cushioning. With the 3rd row folded up, the boot could swallow my family's 3 medium luggage, 2 small luggage, 2 haversacks + bags of shopping, all without piling up to the top and blocking my rear vision. Packaging magic, considering the car is only 4.3m long. However the car interior is very basic and full of hard plastic. It is also very light and does not feel very substantial. Could feel the crosswinds moving the car while driving on the highways. The 1.5L engine is the same as the City's. It is adequate for moving my family of 4 with luggage around town. However the engine runs out of puff on the highways and over-taking on the right lane is not something you should attempt unless there is no absolutely no cars on the right lane behind you. This is because accelerating is slow and rewarded with a loud din of the straining engine. But then, what do you expect from a non-turbo 1.5L engine carrying a full-load. I just kept the car in the middle lane of the highway most of the time and enjoy the nice quiet cruise. The mobilio is definitely a class below the Stream and should not be viewed as its replacement. If you need an affordable 7 seater (assuming Kah Motors price it competitively if it comes to Singapore) to ferry the family around and do not mind the limitations of the engine and basic interior, mobilio is a car you should consider especially since there are not many 7 seater options in Cat A.

Spring Moderator December 25, 2014 Share December 25, 2014 If they can sell it at 100k, we would see alot in the road Think the cost would be around there with an approx $15k OMV so unlikely to sell at $100k. Think the best hope is $110k but I hv my doubts.

I think that's a problem car design nowadays. The short front overhang means the engine compartment and front tire well intrude into the car's cabin. The noise is horrible even with insulation. The pro will be short wheelbase but not compromise interior space. If me, I will try to avoid such car design.

Fuelsaver Supercharged December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 At least it looks better than the Avanza- esp in the fancier RS version Sounds like the tech is newer too Avanza the most insincere design n specs. Interior like back to 1980s w 4 cheaper spkrs - really no features n quality to speak of other than toyota reliability. ↡ Advertisement
