ShepherdPie 5th Gear December 19, 2014 Share December 19, 2014 (edited) not sure if you guys feel it.... I am becoming to realise that ppl ard me are saying less "good morning"s and "thank you" When i was younger , it's quite usual that when the cleaner cleans the table.. ppl ard will say "thank you" .. and it's not unusal to greet the sweeper of the estate and neighbours.. but recently, i found that i am probably the only one doing that ... :P Many ppl i notice will ask questions to the standbyer.. and after they get their answer, they just smile and walk away.. no thank you anymore. Magnifique 2nd Gear December 19, 2014 Share December 19, 2014 Different upbringing I guess. In the past, parents teach their kids to be courteous and kind to others. Now all concern with winning awards and being No. 1 in studies.
Vid Hypersonic December 19, 2014 Share December 19, 2014 The last time I said good morning to a group of people, they think I was from some alien planet.
Silver_blade Turbocharged December 19, 2014 Share December 19, 2014 People in mature estate still greet each other. Some of us even know the cleaners by their names,

Jamesc Hypersonic December 19, 2014 Share December 19, 2014 Yeah we are getting more rude and less polite. No one ever gives way or let people go first. That's why we cannot merge on the road. We never give way when its not our turn.
Iceman81 4th Gear December 19, 2014 Share December 19, 2014 I still say thank you to all those people that clear the dishes from the table i just sit down, people that serve me drinks and food, security guards that let me in and out after delivery, etc. It makes their day happier that someone appreciates what they did and it sure makes me happy seeing them smile after telling them Thank you. :)

Though my MP so highly schooled but nvr apologize to us residents for making us wait for hrs before he comes. I don't follow his example. I tell my kids "money can buy u education in rtn gives u knowledge. but , money cannot buy u values"

Jman888 Moderator December 19, 2014 Share December 19, 2014 It's all start from home, no need to care whether others do it or not. I always think behavioral cannot be forced onto other, you do it yourself and stick to your own principle whether others are doing it or not. If one day you stop doing it, then it ended on your side.

I also heard she got into a legal tussle with one of the neighbour because she reversed and hit his stationary car.

Sp4wn Turbocharged December 19, 2014 Share December 19, 2014 you know, the problem is, people are so concerned about themselves and their own lives, they forget there is a world around them. these days, you cant even climb up the escalator without finding a pair of a**holes (literally AND figuratively speaking) blocking the way. ↡ Advertisement
