I have seems to resolve the water leakage issue.

 

The workshop has changed the whole piece of rubber gasket seal in contact with the tail gate. It seems to have resolve the issue. Didn’t see any water after my car wash in the arrow depicted. Will still monitor...

Did it in sg workshop. Damage is $180. It’s expensive.. my previous Nissan latio hub costs me only about $80. But of cos that time I got it from the stockist myself...

Saw quite a number of renewed coe streams on sgcarmart for reasonable depre, any special things to take note of such as wear and tear parts?

common wear and tear like all other makes and models to look out for.

 

1) Engine Mountings

2) oil leak on vale cover gaskets

3) Vtec  solenoid gasket leak

4) worn brake pads 

5) tyres(check to see the last owner used what manufactured year tyres)

6) check for unsual sound when test drive

7) any check engine light when start up the car

(8) Radiator ( surprising this item will also wear and tear due to its plastic nature

(9) water leakage due to wear and tear of rubber seal

(10) aircon compressor

got this issue about air bag? hmm didnt know. you have the source of this recall for the airbag?

 

i am curious where you get the source to say that honda stream is affected by takata airbag issue?

This is super big news in the car industry. As my car is from PI and JDM, I asked my Japanese friend to help me check Japanese Honda website on my car and the record showed that the airbag jas been changed. This is obviously fake as the importer of my car has already closed shop and LTA informed me that there is nothing that they can do. So beware.

Death counts due to the airbag. Nearest case in Malaysia with a few deaths. After this incident, no more PI car for me. Unless the PI are reputable and non Ah Bang operates.

Actually my PI is still around but my PI bought the car from another importer. So the responsibility of recall falls onto the importer acording to LTA who I talked to. However, the importer already closed shop so there is nothing that can be done. This leads me to suspect that this is how PI operate to escape responsibility for recalls. I nmay be wrong but this happen in my case. And don't borher to change it yourself at outside car workshop as there is worldwide shortage of airbag for replacement and outside car workshop may not have the parts and even they said they have, it may not be genuine rectified part but still the old unsafe part.

hi guys , new here . driving a 07 stream rn6 . when moving off 1st gear seems to struggle when up slope and also when moving off if i accelerate just abit and hold there, theres a weird sound but once i accelerate more the sound is gone. any gurus ?

Any idea if we can install the arm rest into our chair ? or do we need to change the whole car seat ?    

any recommended workshop if anything goes wrong ! TIA !

i presume yours is a KM unit normal stream without arm rest? 2 tone black and beige? from your description, i seems like no "breathe" to up slope? i suggest you look at your air intake system.  eg: throttle body and sensors

 

can describe more about the "weird" sound that you have?

 

For arm rest  i am not too sure if can install just the arm rest alone. But i remember cannot. Unless you go scrap yard look for RSZ seats come with original arm rest. But than again if your seats are beige it will look weird as RSZ seats are all black.

Mine is a full black interior without arm rest 1.8 normal stream. The weird sound and feels like the car gonna stall. Would check it in the work shop soon

if your is black seats than is easy. find at scrap yard for RSZ seats that comes with original arm rest.
