Wavvyykaa October 26, 2017 Share October 26, 2017 Hi Need help There is this roaring sound from engine compartment when car move off from stationary sounded very rough and happens about 2000rpm onwards. When driving on highway which rpm is normally above 2000 there is no significant sound but feels a bit of drag when below 40km/hr. Abit like modified /leaking exhaust sound but my car is stock. Engine is smooth when accelerate at neutral, exhaust checked and not leaking. This roaring sound will sometimes disappear and it will be smooth like baby but most of time it is around. Let's say a single trip has 10 traffic lights and I have to pick up from stop 10 times, 7 of the times will have this rough sound and 3 will be smooth. Tried going to mechanic three times but every time the sound does not appear . Tried to accelerate When in neutral and is no sound thus engine should be fine and exhaust not leaking. Honda HRV 2015, 60k km mileage Try JB, change my previous ride CRV 4 absorbers cost rm 1300 ↡ Advertisement

aimotorholdings Neutral Newbie November 8, 2017 Share November 8, 2017 Hi all, i am looking for your opinion. In recent regular maintenance, my engineer suggested me to change the front absorber and engine mounting which cost about 1.5K inlcuding labor. I can feel the problem while driving and it is getting a little worse in the past 6 months. Howver, I am not sure whether I shall chang them now since the car is due in 3 years and I probably will change another car. what would you do if in my situation? thanks. Scissors Neutral Newbie December 12, 2017 Share December 12, 2017 Hi all, I am thinking of changing my Honda Stream center armrest, but I can't seems to pry open from the side cover of the armrest. Anyone have tried it before? Strange that in all Youtube videos, there are non video showing Honda Stream center armrest removal. does anyone knows if it is advisable to shift from D to S mode while driving? Any impact on the gearbox if this is done while driving? It is able to do it, I have tried it a few times when I went for Msia trip, just to overtake vehicles for 2 lanes road. But somehow I felt that abit useless doing the S mode since it only give an additional boost up to 80km/h at an instant and stall there.

Why stall at 80km/hr? you didnt use the paddle shift?
Hamburger Hypersonic December 13, 2017 Share December 13, 2017 Jap S mode is BS. It simply holds in lower gears and that's it. Conti gives you amplified throttle respond and of course combination with the lower gearing.

Even if you express ship them still can buy 3 to 4 pcs! Very easy to DIY change yourself. Basically just remove and replace.
Happyrider 3rd Gear June 4, 2018 Share June 4, 2018 iridium is usually the performance series and won't be able to last 100k. for instance, the Denso IK20L i have been using was in quite a bad state after 40k of usage.Iridium plugs are supposed to last on average to 80k km. Do you mean to say your plugs keep fouling when u say they are in a bad state? You may need to get yr ws to check on yr air/fuel ratio to see if it is too lean or too rich. ↡ Advertisement
