Why hasn't utility prices dropped?

Since utility prices are pegged to oil, why hasn't PUB lowered the electricity tariffs?

I think this is the reason. They take the past few months prices in the calculation. So got to wait for the next quarter before they take this drop in prices into consideration.

when next quarter oil price inch higher ... they will claim oil price is high

as usual, price up faster and down slower

When oil price goes up, it'll be factored in the next calculation. Unlike petrol prices which respond to oil prices quicker.
