Kb27 Supersonic December 8, 2014 Share December 8, 2014 First thing is that you already gave them $50. Why not save the $50 in the first place ? ↡ Advertisement

At joo koon, think attract more foreigners den locals.. Coz got dorm nearby I'm not familiar with how the union membership works. Seems like got a lot of rules and regulation and I never bothered signing up for one last time. Only know got linkpoints which need a lot of redeem/offset purchases. Foreigners can join?

Benarsenal Turbocharged December 8, 2014 Share December 8, 2014 How much cheaper can it be? And if Govt wants to discourage driving, then something like this makes no sense. The only way you can get anything from there (and home) is if you drive. Don't tell me you want to cart home large quantities of groceries using MRT, from Joo Koon some more. Another brainless exercise.
Jwee85 5th Gear December 9, 2014 Share December 9, 2014 I think can bring those large holiday luggage bags(With wheels), to help move the bulk purchase to home. Especially for those without cars and need to take the MRT/Bus. Will likely appeal to big families with huge multiple fridges at home.
Kangadrool Supersonic December 9, 2014 Share December 9, 2014 doesn't make sense to open a shop selling generic stuff and you require people to be member in order to buy. Further, you need to pay to join as member. To add salt to the wound, it's not as if you will get a further discount with the membership. Unless you have a big family (which most Singaporeans don't), you need to buy in bulk. For what? Then, you bring these bulk purchase home to discover that newer flats are pathetic in storage capacity. Put under bed arh?!? I don't think this concept has Singaporeans' interest in mind leh... No wonder it looks so empty to me. I can see more staff than customers. Wonderful business model.

Kangadrool Supersonic December 9, 2014 Share December 9, 2014 Aiyo.... I just stay one MRT station away and I also didn't bother. My wife asked me to go and take a look, but I didn't. Yesterday night, she came home and told me need to buy in bulk according to her colleagues.... I LOLROL... I still have seven month goodie bags not consumed yet... Kb27 Supersonic December 9, 2014 Share December 9, 2014 In USA, you can just hop into Walmart and buy everything in bulk if you like...and no admission fee. And so does most supermart selling bulk size items..again, no admission fee. Unless you join Sam's Club and pay membership, the price there is significantly lower than regular supermart. If I remember correctly, painkillers can cost 50% or more less than regular price.
Adrianli Hypersonic December 9, 2014 Share December 9, 2014 I think membership might be a good thing cos it is for ppl who really wana buy stuff in bulk to go there and buy. Not for those just wana go in n window shop. Not always need to buy in bulk, but if u organise a home/company party, can get many stuff in bulk. Kangadrool Supersonic December 9, 2014 Share December 9, 2014 As long as the packing is in "bulk", it's in bulk = you buy in bulk. Nothing to do with membership thing.

magaritas 5th Gear December 9, 2014 Share December 9, 2014 12,000(members) x $35(ntuc union member) = $420,000. Already made $420,000....membership is a gd idea for business.
Andylkkg 4th Gear December 9, 2014 Share December 9, 2014 The main vibe is after 1st year, how many of these members will renew if their saving and travelling there outlay their saving, unless these members operate minimart? ↡ Advertisement
