I sent my W213 pre-fl 2 years old for 45k service yesterday while waiting for collection i was walking around, there are 2 W213FL. The avantgarde one similiar like mine but no more carbon fibre dashboard. The suprise was the elegance display no more more memory seat both driver and passenger, even the seat sliding fore/aft is manual like in old W204.....

My w213 is like 5yrs 8mths. Still going strong.  Pi unit.

What i like is the nice dashboard and comfy seats and its adjustable options.

180000km soon.

Had many times thought of changing but heck still liked it. Hee.

Did no go with ad as they did not have the full digital cluster then. 

Pros.

Good looking.

Adequate torque n hp. Quite fast actually and a good cruiser on nshw.

Seats comfy. Lumbar adjustment. Memory seats etc.

Nice dash. I like its interior and prob due to the config i took. I like the overall ambience n contrast.

Sunroof a bonus.

Reliable. Cant fault it.

 

Cons.

Navigation hard to use. But but the map is so damn nice looking.

Prob i got a lemon steering adjustment. Sometimes it works to adjust. But nowadays can only adjust forwaed n backward but not up down. Hmm.

Driver seat's leather torn a bit. Prob due to me wearing jeans daily.

Pi dun have soft touch closing or does the music adjust itself louder when it rains. Not sure if ad one has this feature but the old 5series has this.

This car is so good to me that i had looked at 5series. Audi a6 the last 2 3yrs and some suvs but end up. Heck. I still luv my w213. Lets wait for the new 5 series and the w214 to compare n replace nexf yr then.

@Spurman  mine E200 Avantgarde it has soft closer and sun blind option. I disabled auto sound adjustment, it doens't work well after I installed full Eton speaker kit with Match DSP. All the W213 pre-fl last batch from AD all comes with full suite mercedes me. It just doesn't have sunroof.......win some lost some

E43 has 3.0 V6

E53 has your favourite 3.0 IL6

Quite a Mouthful But Loves to see ppl waxing  Lyrical abt their Ride.
Good to Hear all the Pros & Cons unlike Most of the usual RANT down here.

Ya the latest fl got limited electric function. However the initial batches of w213 fl came with the seat control on the door. It is only quite recently that it lost the option

@camrysfe guess coe too high, AD drops the electric seats to lower the OMV or costs. Heard new batches comin with electric seats again. But hear from SA w214 coming end 23 or early 24
