you still don't get it. CX3 in 2.0 guise will never be able to sell here. regardless of the absolute price, as even if COE $1 or 100k , the price range will still be sandwiched between a mazda3 2.0 and CX-5 2.0. if you want more space, you take the mazda3, if you want it more SUV like you take CX-5.

why would the in between price be dependent on COE as mazda3 2.0 and CX-5 2.0 are CX-3 2.0 are all in CAT  B. they all rise and fall together.

No they don't "rise and fall together" all the time. One is taking into assumption that all cat a and all cat b models within an AD rise and fall the same which is untrue.

talked with a sales person from mazda and she mentioned that mazda japan only approved the 2.0 for sale in singapore. given that the mazda3 2.0 is at 122k and the CX-5 is around 132k. its expected the pricing for the cx-3 2.0 to be between them.

This probably will mean close to zero sales. thus it seems that trans eurokars are still undecided if they will bring in the cx-3.

You claimed zero sales, which is a very interesting comment. Zero is a strong quantitative word even before the CX-3 is launched and all claims are based on assumptions.

I'm speaking facts but you're basing all your comments on assumptions and the fact that all cat B models drop together at the same price in congruence is blasphemy. i.e.: COE for B drop 5k, ALL models in cab b drop 5k.

Well, you might own a 2.0 Mazda 3, but I don't see the 2.0 being a runaway hot seller compared to the Mazda 3 or Mazda 6.

Definitely. I wouldn't get it if it's a hot favorite. Mz6 maybe the next car, as for the 1.5, I got the price of a 2.0 at 5k above a 1.5.

Supersonic

They have already launched the cx3. Selling $12xk

At this price they can slowly slowly sell. A Subaru Forester is a better buy anytime.

That's probably their posted price. After discount this and that, will most likely end up at <$110k. Otherwise better to buy mazda 3 dlx.

I don't think it can be <$110k cos that would be Mz3 category already. My guess is lowest around $115k??

Very true... 2.0 CX3 will be competing with Vezel & Qashqai in terms of size...

No point paying 120K for a smallish suv. Better off buying Forester or Xtrail.

Anyone knows the actual selling price and OMV? And freebies?

Was told that the standard's OMV is $22K while the the deluxe version is $24K. Freebies unknown but it should be the standard affair...

Its really compact as its based on the Mazda 2 and it makes Qashqai and Vezel look big.

The only winning point is the engine which churn out 156hp and its really well built.

Mazda had a booth in front of Shaw Centre yesterday (should still be there today).  CX-3 premium model selling around $128k.  No test drive there.  But when I sat in it, I was very disappointed

- Seat position low, even when adjusted to highest.  My Jazz got higher siting position.

- Seat very poor back support and cannot be adjusted.  My Jazz got better back support even though cannot adjust.

- Seat all manual controls.  For a premium, that's disappointing.

After siting in the car, I felt more and more uncomfortable with the height and lack of back support.  Sian already, so I won't even bother to test drive.

Also at that price, I think the Honda Civic 1.5Turbo is a much better buy.

I really don't see how the Mazda so highly rated.

Like I said earlier. Mazda will be very hard pressed to move more than a few units. Only a dumbo will pay $128k for this.

Great choice! I am seriously considering too.Is 125k the lowest that u squeezed from Eurokars?

Yes! considering the thin margins. But need to use in-house finance and insurance.

Managed to get 12 months road tax (usual is 6 mths)  and 3 years servicing (usual is first 3 times only) thrown in plus the usual car cam solar films.

Turbocharged

Even in pictures, looks tiny and low.

But what really surprises me is that even with the 156hp 2.0L, it takes more than 10 secs for the century sprint.

U sure u have the right data? The specs give a time of 8-9 seconds.
