Although it's called CX-3 and logically should be based on the Mz3 platform, it is instead based on Mz2 platform. That explain it's tight interior, especially the rear seats and tiny boot. End of day, if the CX-3 is priced at $100k thereabouts, it can sell, tight space notwithstanding. ↡ Advertisement

richard_crl032 6th Gear March 25, 2025 Share March 25, 2025 (edited) @Kalthus Guess 2.0l COE for a small car for primarily 2 seaters or very small family with/without very young children does not have much fans. Nevertheless, I just bought the cx3 pure variant a month ago for my dotter who just started uni in Perth at sgd26k since most affordable albeit not even having usual local car mat.😅😅 Looked at some used cx3 cars at a few sgdk less but also less of the 5 yrs warranty and roadside assist let me to take this brand new one instead with little concern for a new 1st car owner who drives only weekly at most since staying in the dorm. This is already quite expensive from earlier yrs for australians as my other 2017 managment returned Camry 2.5 bought in 2018 at sgd19k now still driven by son there is still about sgd19k for about same mileage when checked. But new regardless Toyota reliability with all the added safety features e.g. bsm, city smart braking, dimming rear mirror, led headlight, HUD etc. or even carplay/android capable HU best a 2017 Camry. But yes, zoom zoom drivability has many fans and it was a record high sales in Australian of 16k cx3 units sold in 2024 that covers 50% of all cars of this sub compact crossover/suv .. not bad for a 9 yrs old release with just one facelift with some fine tuning for NVH improvement while mfg moved from Jaoan to Thailand since few yrs back and Mazda even release new variants in 2025 while no longer available in most countries of USA, Singapore etc. Cheers.
