I think Subaru tried la... 118k for such a solid car.. their margins won't be too high.. so maybe they were bidding and topping up.. then maxed out..$6 short..

I understand other bros got their Foresters... so they may have booked earlier, or maybe had bigger loans, less freebies etc..

Actually I think it is pretty common.

 

Let's say coe is $1000. I am very sure that there are many people who were bidded $999. Can't be coe is $1000 and next lowest bid is $900.

 

Cos if you notice the trend after the coe breaks the $1.00 barrier there is the initial jumps to tens of thousands before it stabilises. The last few minutes might see a rush of a few hundred bids but you realise that it the price does not jump. This means everyone is bidding around the same level,maybe even trying to be in the winning level by $1.00. So losing by $6.00 is nothing. In fact for the unused coe it is worse. It means that if the AD had bidded one dollar more the bid would have been successful since there was still quota and the bid was short by $1.00

SINGAPORE - There will be more certificates of entitlement (COEs) for the February-April quota period.

 

 

The Land Transport Authority announced Thursday (Jan 19) morning that there will be on average 8,795 COEs available each month during the period, up 8.9 per cent from the current period.

Based on figures in Oct/Nov AND Assuming Dec figures are similar, could be seeing a quota increase of about 5-10% for cars.

10% of all deregistered vehicles goes to open categories... these r usually used for big cars... over time, there will be less B&B cars, less bikes and less commercial vehicles,,, n we see more towkay cars on the road!

 

greatest impact will be the bikes... every year total population will reduce by almost 10%

Haha, as I mention in my earlier post on the prediction of the COE, the result is out liao, so the data is correct, the quota have gone up, it prove it is all black and white
