Tedlhw 5th Gear November 11, 2014 Share November 11, 2014 This cycling all over the shop anyway/anywhere, with blatant disregard for other road users is becoming so damn common. ↡ Advertisement

inlinesix Hypersonic November 11, 2014 Share November 11, 2014 Where is the TP when it is needed? If that moron is cycling in MCE, LTA officers watching those video feed must be sleeping. These officers should b fired. Rather scolding that moron, shouldn't we question LTA why they allow it to happen?

Cycling is going to be big, could become the main mode of transport soon. The kuku cyclist must have thought he was cycling at East coast park when the saw ECP signboard.

Erm, short of scrambling turbocharged volvos to arrest/fine the guy on the spot, there's no real way of enforcement. Thus my previous case of registration of bicycles. Not licensing mind u, just registration.

Thus my previous case of registration of bicycles. Not licensing mind u, just registration.LTA should have called TP to scramble either Volvo or motorcycle to escort that moron. LTA fail in their duty of care to the motoring public. Mind you, I called TP to scramble something down to the corner after Crawford underpass towards Flyer. A SLK crashed there with debris from left to centre lane. No point to mail out a $20 summon 2 wks after the incident.
Datsun366 Turbocharged August 10, 2015 Share August 10, 2015 (edited) Excuse me for using this thread. I was on Paya Lebar Road just now, towards the traffic police transport command. This happened at the junction nearer to Paya Lebar MRT station. There were four teenage boys riding single gear bicycles. They took up lane four and lane three, and fooling around at the traffic light. I have HD video recording.... If you know them, your son or your brother, please do something before they die on the road and cause some motorist extreme anguish. I will describe them from the left to right. 1. White frame, rear wire spoked wheel, single gear, rear red flashing strobe, three spoke white plastic front wheel. 2. Black frame, red rimmed rear and front wheels, single gear, no rear light. 3. Orange frame, orange rimmed rear and front wheels, single gear, no rear lights. 4. Black frame, four alternating florescent orange and yellow strips on rims for both front and rear wheels, blue color rear light strobe. I was in the third lane just behind them, on green light, lanes two, three and four did not move as I believe all three of us understood how dangerous the situation was. These boys just proceeded to ride through in single file and through the next RED light ( under the PIE flyover), believe they would have pass by the mata chu. If they are your children or relatives, please stop them. They were really playing a fool on the road. Once again, I have the video. solomonaw Clutched November 11, 2015 Share November 11, 2015 http://transport.asiaone.com/news/general/story/cyclist-spotted-riding-along-mce-during-morning-rush-hour SINGAPORE - A cyclist was seen pedalling on the road shoulder of the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) this morning. A Stomp reader told the citizen journalism website that he had thought it was a motorcyclist. He said it was during the morning rush hour at about 8.30am when he noticed the cyclist entering the MCE from the East Coast Parkway (ECP) towards the city. He told Stomp: "Initially, at the first glance it looked like a motorcyclist, but I was shocked to realise it was a cyclist pedaling on the road shoulder! "I hope LTA can do something about this incident." Cyclists here face a fine of $20 for riding on an expressway, which is against the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) Rules. The Gov shld do something for the road user. In changi village area cyclist had actually assume they are riding with license plate . And ride in a way that could en-danger their life and other road users. Especially while rush hour u can see cyclist riding along the changi coast road....and traffic is so rushing and lanes are limited. It could easy lead a heavy vehicle to accident if the cyclists are riding on the same road. Gov need to do something. If cyclist is allow to cycle on the road along with all vehicle i think they might want to try overtake vehicle on expressway by the 1st lane on the right. En-danger other road users is like nothing to them as long the ride on the road can satisfy them.
