Hi all, I would like to seek opinions and experiences of owners (present and past) of the B7 Passat. I'm looking to buy a pre-owned one, either 2013 or 2014. I understand the 7 spd DSG gearbox is infamous although I have gotten mixed reviews, the bias is towards bad.

 

Appreciate any feedback so I can make an informed decision.

I got my Passat in Nov 2016 and was told the DSG problem is fixed with software upgrade before purchase . But my Passat started to show transmission problem after a few months. It totally loses power on the road several times. Because it is still within warranty, I requested to extend warranty to cover the transmission issue but VW service center does not agree. Where shall I complain for my case?
